This is a big one. They took 2 of 3 from Houston last week. No Merrill again:

how refreshing is that we don't have to play Marshall any more?

Of all the benefits there are to being in the AAC, one of the under-appreciated ones is not having to play that dirtbag Marshall program in any sport. Any time you play Marshall in any sport, you can expect a fight to break out.

Best game I've seen in 10 years or more. Great comeback win!

Great win. Ross Massey pitched well enough to win and did! ECU's starter was a beast. We finally got to him in the 9th and beat ECU's closer. You have to be ecstatic for Hunter Williams who recorded his first 2 hits of the season. His walk off blast was justice!

First off props to Ross. I love me some Ivan Zweig but Ross is right up there w/the very best of the best freshman pitchers we have ever had. He kept us in striking distance and didn't get discouraged by the situation. Secondly, welcome back Big Country. Like coach said he didn't have a hit before the injury but had hit the ball hard. Tonight he was finally rewarded. Let's go win this series tomorrow.

This has to be one of Graf's greatest calls. Maybe better then his call on the Montalbano walk off HR

I hear ya. The flip side is we don't want them to have too much trouble other than when they play us b/c we want that RPI bump from playing them two series. We want to host a Regional.

Prior to the ferocious ninth inning rally:
- Ross Massey pitching out of jam after jam stranding 9 ECU runners.
- A couple of nice double plays by the infield.
- Jake Rogers nailing two attempted base stealers (What was ECU thinking?)
- Coach Pierce's decision to pinch-run Grant Brown for Spoon; Brown scores the tying run on the throwing error.

Watching game 2 stream. Attendance looks underwhelming. Very disappointing. But we won, 3-0
Great game. Go Wave.

Simplest way to not have the bullpen be an issue is to not use it. :D :D :D

RPI after today's game is at #38 right now, with an SOS of #87. Keep winning and the RPI will take care of itself.

Tough competition. Both French Qtr Fest and Strawberry Fest are happing this weekend. I struggled to make both games but managed. I know and saw a bunch of regulars out and about in the FQF the last two days. Maybe tomorrow draws better.

Great performance by Gibbs. Really had his breaking ball working. Big Country keeps going. Well played game all around. Start preparing the Regional bid TD.

As for the crowd it was disappointing. As has been said there is a lot of competition this weekend but the problem is bigger than that. Fans have different vantage points where they like to watch from. The season ticket prices are just way out of line for college baseball. When baseball was the only sport having some success they attached the TAF level requirements for season tickets. So one season ticket behind the plate is $1,875. ($1,500 TAF plus $375 for the ticket). Most people are going to buy 2 so now it's $2,250. They just need to drop the TAF requirements and season ticket sales would go way up. When people have the tickets they want to use them. When they don't have season tickets it's a lot easier to choose the competition such as FQ Fest over the games.
