Temple's defense is seriously good. More than any team in the conference, they have the ability to stuff our running game and force Tanner Lee to make throws. We will need to use a lot of WR Screens and play action passes. This is the biggest challenge Price has faced from a game planning standpoint.
Because the best case for us is to have the game be tight and low scoring, we need to be practicing fake field goals as well, and some trickeration. Deployed at the right time, those can cause quick changes in momentum that are huge in games like this.
Finally, on defense, the defensive line has to get close to the level of penetration they got against UCF.
I think we play better than expected, but still lose:

Tulane 24

I also predict a low-scoring defensive game. Here's hoping that we mustered some confidence after the last two wins:
Tulane 17
Temple 14
BTW, I have a 6:1 trifecta this week that I think is money:

Everyone I know thqt bets alot was texting Monday to take Temple -14.5. I think we'll play them fairly tough, but the consensus from Non-Tulane fans is that we are going to get blown out the building. I like Temple 28 Tulane 17.

I'm not buying the last two victories as evidence that this team has turned their season around.

I think U may be correct...Maine was Maine...and UCF if memory serves only had 9 seniors on the roster and was playing it's 4 & 5 unit QB's.... I think Temple's Defense / Special Teams scores twice.... and this could get ugly... I hope I am wrongJerseyWave wrote:Tulane 7

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

New punter, new swagger by the DLine and new Safety Teamer, new confidence by Lee. Tulane 17 / Temple 14. And so it shall be.

We play well, keep the offense rolling from the last two games. There's been a new attitude at practice the last 3 weeks - like nothing I've ever seen at Tulane

I would so love to believe that. But that's the same thing the "insiders" have been saying every year since forever. Including this preseason, and we know how the first two games turned out.TulaneSportsGuy wrote:We play well, keep the offense rolling from the last two games. Well, its been quieter at practice. Its odd, very different from what we ever saw with Toledo and different from anything we've seen with CJ. Less bullshit. BUT that could mean one of two things...
1) there is a lot more focused than we've seen in a decade
-or-
2) no one is mentally engaged
Lets hope its the latter.
Yeah. I have noticed that the Tanner Lee faithful don't seem to be confident in picking us to win.Wave QB wrote:Wow. JJ and OUG seem to love Tanner Lee, but I seem to have more faith in the kid winning games than they do!
