Lex has nowhere near the ability of his brother. Pierce can and will recruit better players than Lex.

I would be ecstatic if Tulane would after many years would host a regional and super regional to take us back to Omaha after a long drought under Rick Jones and his boys as assistants. Let's do it Coach Pierce!

Just facts. He's got 20 years to go.

Enjoy another day hating Tulane baseball.

Ugh...I don't even know why I'm responding to you, but lex is a lot better player and much more potential than his brother. lex has pro potential. Johnny wasn't even recruited....he walked on

Disagree with you on Lex. His brother was on the top Tulane team than went to Omaha and he made unbelievable catches in the outfield during the regionals and super regionals to take out Bertman and LSU A&M at Zephyr Field. Lex's brother was harassed by LSU fans with anti semitic slurs and he laughed them off and produced for Tulane. A great Tulane player. He should be admitted to the Tulane Hall of Fame.

Probably lost for the year

Wow that's terrible news if true. Can anyone confirm?
It's true.
Darn, usually a position player can come back pretty quickly from TJ. I'd think he could atleast hit.

Recovery time forTommy John surgery for position players can beas little as 6 months but usually 8-9 months
Lex's surgery was performed in August which would have him returning between April and May
Full recovery takes ar least 12 months
It would be best to have him take a red shirt year and be 100% in 2017

Grant Brown should be back and can play right field

Skip Bertman was the best thing that happened to college baseball. Got to know him when one of his daughters was getting her master's degree at Tulane. What a gentleman. When Tulane defeated him in the Super Regional, he addressed the Tulane team after the game and told them what to expect in Omaha. He is a class act and one of a kind!

A plus one from me... .. He made LSU Baseball what it is today... You have to give the man the credit he richly deserves....
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

Bertman.

Six to zero. Was one of the many that gave him a standing O when he walked off. Don't project yourself on me.

So you go to philly to pull against Tulane.

I'm pulling for Pierce. You are burning black candles.

Glad to know your life is consumed by me. Clearly my opinion means the world to you.

My own personal stalker.

Enjoyed my time in Philly, watching another coach who you have degraded on this site do what he can for the Wave.At least you weren't in the stadium drunk and embarrassing yourself in front of baseball recruits and their families as you did in the Superdome days.
Your high opinion of yourself is consistent with a wordsmith who makes his living trying to clean up messes handed to him by the most corrupt police dept in this country. How DOES it feel to be the laughingstock of the United States,Winwave?
Give Bertman his due,yet come on here and bury the guy from your alma mater?Hypocritical,at best.

Unlike you I'm still good at my job. Still have the competitive fire.

The match would be over before it started. You've never won at anything.

Lantern would love for us to be able to enjoy talking Tulane baseball. Some though just want to insist that Tulane baseball began an ended w/RJ. They don't want to see anything good happen for the program and if it does they want it still credited to RJ. As I posted earlier they had to wait till we started losing some games last year to come on the site and start trying to call out anyone who dared suggest that he had any flaws or was responsible in any way for the six long years w/out post season play. I was the first to respond to the attacks and have been taking one for the team since. No problem I can handle it.

Athletics is supposed to be a fun outlet for fans. I was about to give up following the forums based on our performance and the public comments from those that will be picking our new AD. Thanks to these attacks I'll keep posting.

Love Coach Pierce and his assistants. Tulane will be back to Omaha soon. Great recruiting class and JC transfers for Tulane baseball. . Beat LSU A&M and Tier two academic U La La this coming season. Tulane athletics with the great recruiting classes of men's and women's basketball with baseball is the best thing to happen to Tulane in many years. . CJ and football staff needs to be fired now.Hire Tulane a great AD.

Win,you don't get it.I'm a Tulane grad and fan. Also a fan of Coach Pierce, think he will have a great year with Goat's recruits.I do want them to do well, just didn't like you blasting the winningest coach in Tulane history due to personal reasons. All I know is that RJ went out of his way to be good to me and my kids for the last 35 years.FYI I have time to post because I'm battling cancer and doing chemo, not rehab, what's your excuse?
