Any word on fall practice? Seems like Sept 15th may be the earliest we've started that I can remember.

Waverunner wrote:Just reading D1Baseball.com about this year's outstanding junior and senior class, this after recruiting was "dumbed down"??Still a bunch of MLB picks, nobody must have told Gautreau it was dumbed down.Just took time to develop,as most do.
Say it ain't so...Gaut was a former player turned assistant...it has been proven here by winwave (he is THE expert on all things athletics, you know) that the program went down because former players were hired as assistants and could not coach nor recruit...also proven here that recruiting was dumbed down. All of those scouts, cross checkers, etc must be wrong.

Lmao!

Yes it only takes 7 or 8 years to develop them.

They are all employed by which teams now?

Jake Rogers has improved his hitting over the summer and will likely be drafted this year
Jeremy Montalbano was scouted this summer while playing in California and will be draft eligible

I agree with you that the program went down the tube because of Rick hiring former players as assistants. Also due to Rick not putting the time and recruiting effort into the program his last five or six years but drew his half million dollar annual salary.

Words of wisdom for Fall ball and beyond...
Boy's...Baseball is a simple game:
first rule ......" you catch the Ball...you throw the Ball"
second rule..." It's a round Ball and a round Bat...but ya' gotta hit it Square"
Third Rule....." This game cannot be too hard...Hell, even TPS played it' !!!!!

now everyone go forth, and smell, the freshly mown artifiical turf

alert waverunner:

This was just posted by baywave on the other site-

He is imaginative like Pierce is in padding the roster while say Jones only knew how to use the legislative scholarships and once that dried up, he could not adapt.

OMG I can't believe he attacked your god like that.

OMG this was just posted by ray on the other site:

It's amazing the talent Coach Pierce & staff are reeling in. This guy Zubia & that guy we just landed from Delaware. Plus the JC talent & others. Big geographical range certainly seems to be a positive for Tulane baseball

Your god is under siege. Save him waverunner.

Zero.
They are not employed in baseball.
Six long seasons.
Self inflicted.
You said their performance showed they didn't belong there. Shame on you.

As for me and the others we'll enjoy this new day of Tulane baseball.

The other geniuses who join u,Winwave, when were the only times they've been to Omaha? Before my stupid Hall of Famer,The CWS was just something that Tulane people watched on TV,rooting against LSU.
BTW,word on the inside is that Fraley's brother will never set foot in New Orleans.AlsoBTW,you criticize RJ for relying on transfers back in the day,now we have JC guys rollin' in,double transfers!!Call me from Nebraska ,next spring we'll have 28,000 in the Superdome for LSU!!
Back then,Maestri wasn't there ,it was just

But you said their performance proved they didn't belong there. Shame on you. By your logic Pierce has 8 years to get there.

Glad you made it clear you are pulling against Tulane baseball. Also glad we are recruiting players good enough to get drafted very high. No one ever criticized JC transfers. They were critical to the program. Baseball can't be played in the Dome any more but if it could most here hope the record would be broken.

Six to zero.

Hope Pierce gets to Omaha at least twice or your assassination of him will start soon.
