The Wave gets a much deserved Regional Bid as a 3 seed. Congrats Wave. We have done well in all phases at times this year w/timely hitting, good pitching and excellent defense. Now that the monkey is off their back hopefully they put it all together at the same time.

We owe UNC Wilmington. Was there when the lswho fans co-opted the green-wave cheer and went w/Sea-Hawks.

The AAC gets 4 well deserved bids. Three teams that got in did it w/first year coaches. This conference is going to be phenomenal.

Meh. UNC got left out with a #27 RPI.tpstulane wrote:P5 bias. Oregon gets in with a 64 RPI and Clemson gets in with a 58 RPI.
Look at it this way: What non-P5 got screwed? USM? There was no way they could give C-USA 4 bids this year -FIU stole their bid, not Oregon.
These things aren't strictly based on RPI. That is why USF was last four in as a #23, and we were ahead of them with a #43.

Very pumped. On to getting tics. TU pitching is solid. Not expecting to get out of this regional but u never know. Rather have better pitching than hitting fwiw.
I think Rice wins that regionalJonathan wrote:Tiger Rant all ready thinking LSU A&M will defeat Houston in the super regional and head to Omaha and overlooking the GreenWave in the regional.

I'm assuming Tulane will use priority points for tickets. I know I want to go so hopefully Tulane will put that info out soon.

As much as I hope we're able to pull off the upset, if I were a Tigers fan, I'd have zero fear of the Wave. The Tigers owned us in two meetings this season. In the two games they outscored us 19-7, prompting you (Jonathan) to proclaim that our team stinks.
ROLL WAVE!

We've taken the first big step...simply getting back into a regional...Coach Pierce and his staff are to be lauded for the job they've done. Now, just play hard and let everything "fall into place."

Thankyou and congrats to ULL. Looked like the only way they make was to win their tourney, and they did just that. It feels good to be back in a regional. This is a huge accomplishment for Coach Pierce, being that he hasn't had a chance to bring in his own class yet. Future is looking bright for Tulane baseball.cajunfanatico wrote:I told you guys that you were in. Congrats. Shake 'em up.

ShowMe must be pissed. He openly rooted against Tulane in our last two games, because he wanted to be proved right that we wouldn't get in the regionals. All that rooting against Tulane and it didn't do him a bit of good.

Not true. I'm am happy. We have Tulane in a regional with a few former coaches in as well (USF, TCU and LSU, Andy)sorry Matt Riser couldn't get in. Here's my last quote on our AAC tournament game. They finally "showed me".Robert1969 wrote:ShowMe must be pissed. He openly rooted against Tulane in our last two games, because he wanted to be proved right that we wouldn't get in the regionals. Show Me wrote:To be honest in or out it was a great achievement by this staff. We don't really have regional like talent. The key during the year is that we played very consistent all year long. If we get in we'll be a low 3 seed in Baton Rouge. Southeastern blew their at large bid with today's loss. So we'll take their spot if we go somewhere.Pepper wrote:I agree. USF losing earlier today really hurt themself.Show Me wrote:If we get in it will be at USF's expense and their higher RPI.Pepper wrote:Most publications had our conference getting at a minimum 3 bids. BA had us a 2 seed 4 days ago with 4 teams from our conference making it. The tourney is a piece of the whole pie. As long as Memphis or UConn do not win the tourney I think we are alright. Scanning through some of the other tourneys there are a lot of teams that only won 1 game in our RPI range.
Except we didn't take their spot. We were in the whole time just as I said.
