We fell from 53rd to 60th in RPI after beating UNO last night. Look for another slide tonight.

http://warrennolan.com/baseball/2015/rpi

However, our Power Index soared from 32 to 21 as a result of last night's win!

It going to hurt because of the weak teams UNO has played so far. They beat 3 SWAC teams this past weekend. You are who you play. Don't dare lose to them at home either that will kill you.

Outside of UH, UCF and maybe us the AAC doesn't have much. We are only 31-21 at this stage. The ten games above are 6-1 UH, 7-0 UCF and our 7-1. The rest of the league has losing records I would imagine. Our opponent this weekend has a #16 RPI so a sweep there would be good.

True. But the both RPI and NPI takes in consideration strength of schedule NPI takes scoring margin into consideration. For example, Warren Nolan and RPI take in consideration that 2-2 Memphis has the toughest schedule in the country, all on the road, and still has a positive scoring margin.

Here's what else hurt our RPI yesterday:

Pepperdine lost to Santa Barbabra last night. So, they are now 4-4.

Pepperdine and Southeastern are going to win plenty of games this year. We won 3 games against those teams on the road. San Francisco is 0-8 after playing us and Texas Tech. They are going to win some games also. The American will have high RPI teams in Houston (6 games), UCF (3 games), USF (3 games), ECU (3 games).

Our RPI will take care of itself as long as we continue to win.

There's something deeply wrong with college sports when you whip your traditional crosstown rival and all anyone can think of is how it affects the power rating.

Please drop UNO from our schedule or at minimum play once a year to get our RPI up to get back to the NCAA tournament.Coach Pierce looks at RPI before he schedules any team on the Tulane schedule.

Cancel UNO next year from our schedule for two games. Bring in a home and home series with either Miami, Florida, Florida State or Georgia Tech next year to get us after 20 years back to the NCAA Tournament.to build up our RPI!

Jonathan, UNO's RPI is HIGHER than Pepperdine's, and only 9 behind San Francisco. Maybe we should stop playing those California teams, they're hurting our RPI.

For anyone that complains about losing one game to Creighton, who's a top 50 program, how would you like to be #6 Houston dropping a home series to Ivy League Columbia? Take each game one at a time, and we'll be fine.

And with most if not all of the weekend scores in , Tulane has moved up to #15 in RPI. I would hope 10-2 gets us into the Top 30.

That's what knocked our conf RPI down.

Damn Cougars! And of course, Cincy opening the season 1-9 isn't helping any.

Beating UNO may have hurt our RPI, but not nearly as much as losing to them would have crushed our RPI.

What is our current Warren Nolan RPI? If I am reading it correctly we are 17th in the nation? We need votes tomorrow to get into the top 25 and win all four games this week.
