I think I read where we have 3 open scholarships open, 2 if Dale signs with us. Any rumors yet about possibly picking up a 5th year senior or 2?
I have a wonderful idea if in fact they do exist ... save them for the new Head Coach and next years recruiting classgreenphantom wrote:I think I read where we have 3 open scholarships open, 2 if Dale signs with us. Any rumors yet about possibly picking up a 5th year senior or 2?
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !
Until RD leaves, doubt Tulane gets a head coach in anything. This incompetent fool can't hire anyone worth a cr@p. Thank God Lisa Stockton is still around. Only coach he hasn't hired and only one actually having any success.
I tend to agree...but an empty on campus stadium, with fewer athletic donations many times tend to force change...look no further than Mack Brown and the University of Texas @ Austin .... not be confused with the University of Texas @ San Antonio, who's football coach, has just as many National Championships as the Mackster'wavemania wrote:Until RD leaves, doubt Tulane gets a head coach in anything. Why don't you'll try answering the question instead of the continual, 24/7 assault. Give it a rest or follow someone else. We get it, you hate Tulane, you hate RD, you probably hate just about anything in life.
Now to the question that was so rudely answered by others. I think they will definitely sign Dale if he wants on board. But they are not going to wait on the young man and they are always pursuing players that can make the team better. Recruiting never ends.

Apparently, Tulane has signed a much needed place kicker, Steven Logan from The Potomac School in Virginia. I don't know how to provide the link, just google Steven Logan Potomac school, and you'll find the article with picture.

You nailed it GreenPhantom. We definitely need a QB who can push Tanner Lee, another quality pass rusher and an experienced wide receiver. I thought after the success of Chris Davenport we would see more 5th year players from SEC schools come in for playing time trying to boost their NFL stock. Maybe after the spring and guys get passed on their team's depth chart by a younger players they'll look to transfer. I'll take anyone who can upgrade Tulane's talent level.greenphantom wrote:Thanks. Are we sure that kid will be on scholarship?
Good to see the kicking part of our game addressed, but there is still a missing part. We now need someone who can snap the ball to the p/k holder or punter, as the case may be, on a consistent basis. Our current scholarship L/S is a big part of the problem and leaves a lot to be desired.
The Potomac kid, is a preferred walk on - roster spot ( we now have 8 kickers / k/p on the roster).51WaveBG wrote:Good to see the kicking part of our game addressed, but there is still a missing part. LS - from an earlier post - He finished the last half of the season strong (particularly last 4 games) coming back from an injury; last seasons back up snapped, duke, rutgers, uconn, 1st quarter UCF (that was the stretch we had big problems). Leglue, godfrey, golub will compete for back up spot. we have 4 specialist on scholarship now adding the new K/P (BLOCK).

Agreed. The problems have been there all along. It's hard to imagine that that wasn't addressed. It's as baffling as keeping the Price brothers.51WaveBG wrote:Good to see the kicking part of our game addressed, but there is still a missing part. I think the long snapping became more of the problem than the kicker. Even Cairo couldn't make kicks when the snap was off. His streak ended due to a bad snap.51WaveBG wrote:Good to see the kicking part of our game addressed, but there is still a missing part. It's actually not baffling at all with this administration.
