Tulane versus Duke TV
If you have the Direct TV Sports Package our game will be on Channel 628 in HD at 11:30am Central next Saturday presented by Regional Sports Networks. I am sure certain local bars such as Bruno's have this package. I understand that the game will also be broadcast on ESPN3 on the internet.

I just called Direct TV and both 628 and 642 will be blacked out in Louisiana because both of the listed channels Regional Coverage does not include LA. The DirectTV rep I spoke to said that the RSN (network broadcasting game) will "may" open this game up to the entire nation but I decision will not be made until mid week.

DirecTV does not have a contract with ESPN3 so Directv users do not have access to ESPN3.

The problem is ESPN3 requires that your cable/satellite provider allows access which Directv does not. When you select the game you want to watch ESPN3 gives you a drop down box to select your provider. Directv is not on the list...DISH is. I never had a problem with Charter, but Directv does not contract with ESPN3.
We used to stream ESPN3 all the time to the TV when we had Charter, but had to get rid of Charter for various reasons.

Borrow a friend, relative or neighbor's log on for Charter, Dish, Cox or AT&T it will work.Mandeville Wave wrote:The problem is ESPN3 requires that your cable/satellite provider allows access which Directv does not. You probably did at one time maybe last season and it's in a cookie on your computer so you don't have to log in everytime.sader24 wrote:Strange, it didn't ask me for anything on Saturday night.

Apple TV has ESPN programming live and archived. Don't even need to hook up a computer to your tv. It works through your home wifi. It pretty much turns your big screen into an extension of your computer. It's pretty neat.
The second commandment has not been abrogated.
I just bought this computer a month ago. I streamed multiple computers at the bar for the LSU baseball games on ESPN 3 and not once did it ask for any of those credentials. Saturday night I went right to espn 3 on the computer and clicked on the Tulane game and watched it without issue.
Just ran across something that may be of interest to those of us living in Florida. The Duke game will be LIVE on Fox Sports Network Florida HD(FSNFHD)@12:30pm EST. I checked it out in the advanced program guide and there it was. I have Cox Cable. Enjoy!
