Condition of the exterior of the Wilson Center
Was recently there ordering tickets. The interior is pristine and updated. The exterior of the building is a major embarrassment to Tulane University its alumni and fans. The exterior stone has not been either steam cleaned and/ or high pressure washed since it was built. The stone is a nasty black color now. The stone should be cleaned immediately and re water proofed. The green metal roof is also in sad shape. It should be replaced or refinished now. Can you imagine the number of people walking by the Wilson Center to Yulman Stadium on game days this up and coming season? The Wilson Center is an eyesore. Where are you Rick Dickson on this. Can anyone post any recent pictures of the Wilson Center exterior and roof on this thread? High pressure washing could be done in a week before our first home game and would not break the bank!

I know they have their hands full with Yulman, but it wouldn't take but a day to pressure wash that exterior visible on Wiiener Dr. The rooftops need to be cleaned also.

In my opinion, the Wilson Building is part of the stadium now, and should be treated as such.
It will be on display opening day as much as Yulman.

I am sure that you were just a ray of sunshine on what would otherwise have been a cloudy day for that young person.Jonathan wrote:Yes I did but he was a lower level employee who could not make a difference.

Ya can bet your azz, and all the Beer at SportsBeat, that not one person, thought of cleaning the exterior of the Wilson Center ...for that building NEVER to have been cleaned since it was built, says a great deal about the people who work inside.JTLiuzza wrote:Maybe they have that on the "to do" list before the home opener but it just hasn't been done yet. Jonathan did you ask anybody about it while you were there?

I don't have pics but I can tell you that I passed there Friday night around 8 pm and they were still pressure washing it and the building looks great! They are even repainting the roof.

People at Tulane are now listening and acting on things that can improve the fan experience. As an old timer would say, "Things are getting better on Willow street" (now Ben Weiner Dr lol).
