I looked at them both and I changed my mind to the black cage.
I think the helmets from last years are really nice, the blue one in the pic is awesome, and the bowl game helmets were smashing. I dont really like the older looks except the T with wave going through, I know a few of the players do but they ALL loved the bowl game helmets though. I think the uni combo will look good this year regardless, white, green, or gray....

This is the only helmet we will ever need.

The block "T" and interlocking "TU" are both just too plain and aren't good enough for our unique mascot. It might work for Tennessee or Temple, but not us. We have to come up with something different. I actually like those NOLA Bowl Helmets as well.

The problem is that this is not Tulane's official logo anymore.golfnut69 wrote:And as I have posted before...voted by ESPN viewers one of the 10 best all time Helmet logos in NCAA history...but ....LSU Law Greenie wrote:AMEN!!! First, Mack Brown dropped the U and went with just the "T".
Then Wright Waters changed the official logo and made us change the helmet logo (and the baseball cap logo) to the T with the 2 wavy lines.
When he left, Buddy Buddy Buddy tried to duplicate his Dartmouth logo into a Tulane logo.
When Buddy Left, it went back to the official logo. The T with the squiggles and then to the Wave T we have now.

It is still basically the academic logo:
It has also been included in things tweeted out of Tulane in the past year or so:
The "T" ,was on the side of the helmets during the Bennie Ellender period...and if it is not the logo anymore...why not ?...Seems like tulane changes logo every few years...or we could put on the side of the helmets.."logo not yet decided upon"... hell if that looks better than the Donald Trump krap we now haveCoachBrockhoff wrote:The problem is that this is not Tulane's official logo anymore.golfnut69 wrote:And as I have posted before...voted by ESPN viewers one of the 10 best all time Helmet logos in NCAA history...but ....LSU Law Greenie wrote:AMEN!!! I think Larry Smith was the first to have the TU.

That there is a nice looking helmet.

Looks good to me.
Does this helmet match the green in our uniforms that we saw recently? I hope its not a bunch of different shades of green. I do not think those colors will work great from the viewers pov. They may blend together. Not sure about these yet.
