No surprise there. 2015-16 needs to be at least an NIT bid IMO for EC to be retained.
If we are even remotely in the discussion for the NIT (basically top100 RPI) he will be retained. GUARANTEED. He has an average rpi of 200+ in five years, an improvement of 100 spots would be considered an amazing year by RD and the admin.
And not because of the actual accomplishment, but because there will be easy justification for retaining a loyalist. It has nothing to do with actual results.
Ed Conroy will remain the coach as long as the Cowen/Dickson power structure is in place and Conroy doesn't have a complete program meltdown, Toledo style. We already know that Conroy can survive a mass exodus of his best players and being <200 RPI for 4 out of 5 years. It has nothing to do with wins and losses.
