Is it time to place more blame on the coaching staff? I am not going to criticize Jones coaching abilities or ask for his resignation, etc. He has been the most successful coach at TU. It is difficult to understand how a player can "lose" his ability to see and hit the ball. As we can see, this has happened to MANY of the players. Too many weak ground balls and too many pop ups. Very odd. During football season, blame is put on the coaching staff. Perhaps it is time to hold the baseball staff accountable.
I will be at the Tuesday game. I know it is just a "mid-week" game and Jones has said that he wants to concentrate on conference BUT this team needs a confidence builder. IF we continue to perform as we have in the last 5 games, it will get ugly and we don't need to get beat into the ground at this point. You can rest assured that if that upriver team gets the opportunity they WILL beat us up!
