If the offensive line can at least play like this next week, we should beat UTEP by at least 2 touchdowns.

Listening to that video, either WIST is playing recorded crowd noise or there was more than 600 fans in the dome.

One of the the beauties of the Dome is that so few can sound so loud.

I second that vote to tip our hats to the coaching staff for keeping the team engaged, and learning/buying into the system. Having the senior QB speaks louder than words, and it should do DP good to watch him run the offense effectively. Hope we can steal a few more wins, and keep the recruits committed. CJ said before the season started that the line was a big concern and that he had some kids he was high on for the line coming in with the 2013 class. They'll play early, rathe than buying buried three deep on the depth chart!

I also agree that this does nothing to stop our rallying call: No More Cow/Dick.

UTEP is not a very good offensive team. I can see the Wave getting a big win here.

The running game is still pitiful. We need to find a running game in order to sustain some drives and give the defense a rest. Without a running game it is highly unlikely we will win.

After the controversy over the moving of the Victory Bell when it was moved mid-season w/out notice to the basketball team they were supposed to get a mobile bell to bring to all athletic events.

From what I've heard recently next year's starting QB currently attends classes on Banks St. If we can keep him.

We all love CJ and want him to succeed but it's time for him to accept his role. After the game he admitted he was the one that screwed up our offense in the 2nd half by trying to call what we should run. He said on the last drive he realized he was the problem and he let his coaches run things. Tonight the co-D coordinator said after the game CJ questioned why they didn't blitz more on SMU's last drive. Well our 3 man pressure worked just fine and we won. So please just accept that you are a figurehead and a master recruiter. The sooner the better. Let's win some damn games already.
Tulane didn't have a stadium issue it had a program and facilities issues. To the new President- we want a new AD , a football facility and an IPF. We want top 25 programs in football and basketball the only two sports that count.

I wouldnt say figurehead. He needs to be an organizer, a decision maker, great at public relations, and a great recruiter who can seal the deal when needed. Let the coordinators call the plays. Bowden was an OC at Auburn before he came to Tulane. He gave Rodriguez complete control of the offense and did the things I listed above.

Why dont you give CJ some credit for recognizing he made a mistake and fixed it just in time? He has taken the responsibility and you still arent happy with it. He has already said this week he's not going to meddle.

Did you read the part where I said we love him. But have you seen the butt whippings this team has taken and then he admits he almost cost us a win. A win that this program desperately needed. Sure he says he won't do it again but how many times do we hear that from coaches and then they repeat the same mistakes over and over. Just want to make sure he gets that we all realize his strengths and shortcomings and that it doesn't happen again.
