M.L. Lagarde
Only met him one time. It was during baseball season and a Freshman baseball player had hit his first home run and I happen to be outside of the stadium and retrieved the ball. I recall then going to the next basketball game, introducing myself and giving him the ball to give to the kid. He was so impressed that he gave me sideline passes to a football game in the fall. I believe it was the Ole Miss game, maybe 1983. I was on the sidelines and there was a severe thunderstorm going on. Well, one big bolt of lightning and the power in the dome went out. It was very dark and I believe the game was stopped for about 45 minutes. That is my memory of Mr. Lagarde.
