WSU’s previous coach was a top assistant at Oregon State. I don’t know if they would look to kindly at Tj with a similar background. Baseball is actually one of WSU’s pride and joy.

But TJ has history there.

Travis Jewett-Tulane head coach

WSU alumni who has been the head man at Tulane the last two years. Jewett compiled a record of 52-64 over first two years with the Green Wave. They are currently having a good season with a 32-24 record. He was an assistant for the Cougars from 2005-2009 before taking assistant coaching gigs at national powerhouses Arizona State and Vanderbilt before being hired by Tulane. He served as the associate head coach at Vandy. Jewett is known for his expertise in hitting instruction. He also has recruited numerous major leaguers in his career.

Tulane/Dannen could only be so lucky if Jewett gets the WSU job. Even better if there’s a buyout to be paid.

It should sure would be fortunate for us. He's got a good pitch. Not saying the following is true but he's got to sell himself- "The guy before me didn't recruit and left me nothing. Being the great recruiter I am I started restocking the program and we began the turnaround this year. With the next class coming in the program will explode next year. But home is calling and I'm ready to answer. " Good luck TJ.

Worse places to be than Pullman Washington....it is gorgeous...I was lucky enough to play in a Tournament at the Palouse Ridge Golf course on the WSU campus...the ride from Spokane was beautiful...the city and campus was prisitine, lots of pride taken by the people who live there...I don't think U will hear one thing regarding TJ, until the WSU job is filled.....

No doubt TD will hold off on any TJ decision until WSU makes their own decision.

TD better act quickly once the WSU job is filled, or I may take the school crossing guard job here in Georgetown School District.....
