We play UCF Tuesday night. The game will probably start between 7 and 7:30. Tough opening game. UCF beat us 2 out of 3 at Turchin. It can be watched on the AAC site. Roper will start on four days rest. He threw 57 pitches on Thursday so he should be good to go.

Are you projecting 7-7:30 CDT? The times on the printed bracket are EDT.

Warren Nolan RPI Rankings for AAC: http://warrennolan.com/baseball/2019/co ... n-Athletic

And yes, ECU at rpi 5 is in a "whole different league" than the rest of our league. :D And then, UCONN 28, Houston 40, UCF 44. And then, Wichita St. 91, Wave 97, & Cincy 113 (but no "Big Dance" for USF @ 114. ;) ).

UCF has to be excited to get in a bracket where the second best team has a #97 RPI. They're probably counting on being in the finals this weekend.

Does "the American" have the option to use two fields (within the St. Pete area) if weather becomes an issue? Didn't they have to do that last year?

Remember how awful the camera coverage was at the second field? Wasn't it just a single camera through a chain link fence? Or am I remembering some previous year?

You’re correct that field was used because of weather issues last year. Just embarrassing and bush league on the AAC’s part to have one camera behind a chain link fence. Hopefully this is not an issue this year.

As per Guerry Smith UCF will be throwing Chris Williams. He threw for them last Tuesday. The last two years he had been really good. He had ERA's of 2.65 and 2.81. Almost at 6.00 this year but threw well against us in game two of our series a few weeks ago. We have Roper going on 4 days rest after throwing 57 pitches. Hopefully he won't get off to one of his usual slow starts. Maybe the shorter turnaround will help with that.

aahhhh...the good ole days when Pitchers threw nine innings on 3 days rest.....too few innings and way too much rest, result in poor mechanics and arm issues

Both of those are just preview links. Do we have a live link?

No problem. I found it on Facebook.

UConn beats Houston in Game 1 with a run in the bottom of the ninth, 4-3.

ECU 1-1 vs Wichita St after 3.

Wichita 6 --- ECU 1 (top 9) and it is almost 5 PM out there. Tulane may not play until after midnight.
