Everyone keeps saying this, but 3rd seed still keeps us on the opposite side of the bracket, doesn't it? Shouldn't it be 1-4-5-8 and 2-3-6-7?

If we win one, we'll be ahead of UConn, behind ECU and Cinn. If UCF takes 2 of 3 against Houston, we'd still be third seed.

People are saying it because it's true. That's the only way for us to guarantee it without help. Plus if we are going to gain any momentum going in to the tournament we need to win it. No one said there aren't other ways. It's just the preferable way.

Beginning the series this weekend UCONN's RPI is 31, our rpi is 86. http://warrennolan.com/baseball/2019/rpi-live

We could pick-up 20+ places in rpi rank with a sweep of these guys, but that will be a tall order indeed.

Checking in on tonight's game vs. UConn, I'm shocked that there's MAYBE 600-700 fans in the stands. This is a big game. The fact that we're 90+% empty at our home stadium, given the investment Tulane has made in this sport, has to tell TD it's time to make a change.

Our results, and the lack of fan support has to write the final farewell to TJ.

I’m not shocked by the dismal attendance numbers. Tulane always has solid attendance in years when we are good enough to make a regional. When we are not a regional worthy team like this year and the previous two before that attendance plummets.

So it all comes down to UCF-Houston tonight.

A UCF win means we finish third, and end up in a bracket of Cinn, Tulane, UCF, Memphis. We have a shot there.

A UCF loss means we finish fourth, and end up in a bracket of ECU, Tulane, UConn, Wichita St. A lot tougher.

An added bonus with a UCF win is the ECU bracket ends up being ECU, Houston, UConn, Wichita St. No guarantee ECU gets out of that bracket to the final game.

Another typical game from this season. Looks like we were playing a complete game and then we allow them to make it close.

Glad to see Solesky have his best outing of the year.
