RJ - Retired
JG - Fired
DP - Departed
TJ - Hired and not going anywhere anytime soon, unless it's his choice :roll:

Assuming the remainder of the year does not creator. An RPI near the current 82, a winning conference record, and a 60% winning percentage is not getting TJ terminated this year. He can easily argue more time to win with his players.

I hear you. It just shows that great recruits don't always translate to great players AND can be wasted with subpar coaching. Thanks for sharing, I didn't realize those numbers.

JG was never fired. He filled in for RJ when he was ill. RJ retired. JG applied for HC but DP got the job. He was offered the chance to stay at Tulane by DP but he passed. He wanted a HC job. Later TJ tried to hire JG back but he turned it down again. Of course Andy ended up offering JG (because of their friendship JG took it) and he’s done very well for himself since. He will be a HC somewhere someday.
JG has never been fired. He was the only coach retained by Miss St when they cleaned house after the Andy debacle.

2014 class jewett added Kaleb Roper so it got bumped up from his addition.
2015 Pierces class was not top 100. Jumped up this past year with the addition of Jewetts players, Acy Owen, Trent Johnson, Sean Chandler (drafted), and Will Mcaffer.
2016 Pierce class was ranked in 90s. Jumped 30 spots this past year with Jewetts addition of Cj Whelan, Ben Thompson, Andres Perez.

Conf Recruiting Ranking
2015 = 4th
2016 = 4th
2017 = 3rd
2018 = 3rd
2019 = 3rd

The usual suspects are ahead of us in recruiting, UH, ECU mainly.

Needs to be 1st in conference, but not too terribly bad. Need to be top 25. Main thing is our pitching can not throw strikes. Jewett/Latham has several pitchers coming in for next class, with our hitting lets hope our pitching can propel us to the top starting next year, we need it. Pitching is holding us back. ERA is 5.8 and some of our pitcher walk more than 1 an inning. We need top 5 round pitchers and preferably much more than just 1. Jewett knows what he needs, hes been to the CWS 3x's....... lets just hope he found the arms in this next class!!
