Underdog Dynasty’s preview for Tulane Spring Practice:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.underd ... l-aac-2019

Edit:
That is an awful article. The author wonders who QB2 will be (obviously Howard if he doesn’t beat out McM) and who the second option behind Mooney will be at WR (doesn’t mention McCleskey)

Good quote!
“So far I think this offense is probably one of the most versatile and diverse offenses I’ve been in between coach Hall and coach (Matt) Canada (at LSU),” McMillan said. “I love it. Up-tempo. It’s not fast but it’s up-tempo. It has a good pace. You can get in a good rhythm as a quarterback.”
"That mantra is the only consistent thing that never needs to ever change for the rest of this program’s existence because that is all that matters & as long as that keeps occurring, everything will handle itself" -- Nick Anderson

Cannot wait for next year. Feels weird saying that, especially coming off a winning season and bowl win.

I really liked it when we signed him. Glad he's getting off to a good start.

Thanks for posting the link.

This guy could be a bigger version of Nico Marley. If it plays out that way, we're in for a fun few years watching him. I wonder why a JUCO year counts the same as a year playing D1? I don't know why, but it just seems logical that he should have 4 years of eligibility left, as if he took his RS year while at JUCO.

I hope someone gives us an update on the USM transfer. Thanks again ww for the link.

I was thinking the same thing about the Marley comparison. Great minds think alike.

As for Howard there just isn't anything out there on him. No one allowed into the practices. The frustration is shared.

That wasn't verbatim the same article, but I've read 95% of what was in that article in a prior article. Maybe it wasn't the Advocate, but the only thing missing was the part about his mom being able to watch on the iPad, while his father had to coach in the game he caught 3 TD passes last fall.

https://expo.nola.com/sports/g66l-2019/ ... side-.html

I think there's another one that's even closer to the one Guerry wrote for the Advocate, but would rather watch the tourney than waste time trying to find it!

They do their interviews with the coaches and players made available to them after each practice at the same time. So the articles are usually similar. None had been posted here so I posted the one I read.

I also noticed how similar those articles were. They get the same clips from the same press conferences but it was alarming how similar those two articles were.

I did like the article about mooney

Interesting comment about the offense moving to the spread. If we can put up AAC-like pinball offensive numbers without our D suffering, we'll compete for division and conference titles THIS YEAR.

I'm really excited and wish we were a whole lot closer to AUGUST 29th!!!
