We have 4 available. As golf noted word is we'll sign two and leave two for grad transfers.

c'mon Pete...it's Bogus Bowl Day.... D/CT has a life as does his children... I will also be interested to see what happens with the 4 rides that are available

Almost all of dfromStorrs' posts state the obvious and contribute nothing .

Golfnut , did you have to post that you are interested to see who else we sign to be interested in who else we sign ? Of course not . Nor would anyone else .

Another brilliant post in the string of all-time brilliant posts from pete.

How about "grow some brain cells, Pete?" Clearly you are short a few million, and the lack of light penetrating that rock you live under is hampering your body's ability to re-generate those that you're killing daily.

Good to hear. Do either of you (win or golf) know if a QB is taking one of the two you mentioned?

It doesn't appear that we'll sign a HS QB this year. We could get one with the grad transfers in May.

I think Fritz already has an agreement with two May Grads, one may be a QB the other a OL

Last annual camp with LSU .

Replace them with aTm again , or Michigan or Ole Miss or Auburn or Texas or Mississippi State or Kansas State or Ohio State . After all , who would have thought Michigan would camp with us

i would also accept USC, Stanford and Notre Dame. But yes i agree. There is no doubt that TD and Coach have done the calculus and at this moment it makes more sense to be partnered with LSU. I assume its because we need the local exposure to fans and to players to grow the base and recruiting. I would bet with 2 big recruiting classes in a row and two 8- 10 win seasons connsecutively that calculus may start to shift change. . . For both parties. At the moment we are such a non threat they dont mind.

If we are such a non threat why do they refuse to play us in FB , MBB or Baseball ?

We have discussed this at length in other threads. Essentially they hold all the cards, and apparently see little incentive to play us even with lopsided terms (3 for 1’s at the dome with them taking the gate).

That may change with new AD, but as of now it isnt on the horizon. They even asked coach fritz that tonight and he gave a non answer about non conference being scheduled very far in advance.

Why don’t we use the football camps as leverage when scheduling? If LSU wants these football camps to continue and not have us look out of state then they need to schedule us or instead we will hold football camps with Alabama, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, etc. and have at least a 2 for 1 series where these teams play a game against us in the Superdome. We need to directly link these football camps to scheduling.

Seriously, local kids can go to LSU camps with a short car ride. You can’t tell me if we gave them the option to get noticed by coaches from Mich, Ohio State or USC that more would come to the TU camp.

LSU does not want us hosting camps with premier out of state programs as they are worried they could lose some top recruits. They threw a major fit several years ago when we were going to host a camp with Michigan. We have leverage on this issue.

Hold a camp with Bama. What do we have to lose at this point, a woman’s Bball game?

If Lousiana is so loaded with talent, why is 50 percent of LSU's roster, the Flagship U of the state, made up of kids not from Louisiana ?

Probably because they only want the 4-5 star recruits. Not enough per capita here I suppose.

WF said yesterday on 4th Down on Four without showing much regret, we are booked for OOC games through 2027. Time to forget about LSWho for a while and continue to make progress for getting our own house in order. And, always remember, “what LSWho giveth, LSWho can taketh away.”

Games are canceled all the time. If TD does reach out to their new AD and he's responsive it can be done. It's worth the effort.

It can EASILY be done. Make the effort. Make it happen. Flip the bird to the pussies that don't want to play LSU in football. The game should happen at Thanksgiving every year. PERIOD.

That ship sailed a long time ago.

LSU may play us again someday but it won't be on Rivalry Weekend. It would elevate us too much. Besides, the Superdome is booked that weekend.

That, and programs trying to compete at the highest levels are now recruiting nationally. Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame, etc. are all big players in recruiting across the country. A top program may focus on a state, but it will still get top players from other states.

TD has said several times and it has been reported through other sources we have tried several LSU favorable scheduling options in all sports. . . Alleva wasnt interested. Lets just win, get our house in order and then force the issues in 2-5 years.

3-5 consecutive years of the following and they will be asking to schedule us:

6-9 wins in football
80 - 150 NET ranking
1 in every 3 years winning conference in baseball

We just need to be respectable and have a really good season every once in awhile. In TD we trust.
