It's 47-47 at the half. Daniels has 18,Barrett 12 and Cornish 10 to lead the way.

SDSU giving Tulane all they can handle. These guys have been to the NCAA playoffs for the last three years.

Thoughts:
- Barrett has the game of his short Tulane career. Scores 19 points with two clutch FTs in the last 5 secs to put us in control of the game. Shak attack!
- Tulane's cold shooting streaks and poor free-throw shooting nearly costs the game
- Our freshmen had a poor game from the bench: 2 pts in 25 combined minutes. After the Loyola game, I was figuring Zhang for one-and-done. Today he looks like a freshman and shoots 1-5..
- Daniels has a good game and scores 24
- Although Cornish scored a respectable 14 pts, he was 0-4 at the free throw line. Gotta improve here.
- Our twin towers (Ajang and Koka) combined performance: 2 pts; 5 rebounds in a combined 20 minutes.
- SDSU shot 52% from the 3 to stay in the game (and only 35% of 2 pt-attempts). Their big guy, Daum, scores 28 pts and has an NBA future.
- We play again tomorrow at 4

Had the lead for most of the second half and then lost it with just over a minute to go. Then did what they had to to win it. That's two good games in a row from Daniels. Hopefully he has found his game. Barrett finally had a good outing . Sehic came alive in the second half.

I envy you guys that had the time to watch! What is "tought", though? I guess I need to be "taught" that word or maybe SDSU "taut" Tulane in the second half.

Good win on a neutral side against a good team. We were 8 point underdogs. As was said earlier SDSU has made the tourney 3 years in a row.
This is probably the most action I’ve seen on this board in months and it’s for an early morning early season basketball game. Didn’t expect it, but I’ll take it!

The key here is that Tulane went down 80-78 after blowing a 5-point lead and won the doggone game. That says a lot for me. I got to listen to it in my office. Barrett sealed it for us in a game where we were pitiful from the FT line. SDSU didn't teach us anything. We taught ourselves how to win this one.
Regardless, we beat a team that regularly goes to the NCAA and always plays tough against the big boys in that tournament. Like swampnik said, "Let's go out and win this tournament."

Clearly, I missed the "tough" option for the mis-spell. And it makes total sense if we got tough down the stretch to lose a lead late but still come back and win. Not something we see often from our "front porch" sports.

UC-Irvine defeated UTSA, 65-56. UCI had a 22-point lead at halftime. They are now 5-0 with wins over Idaho, Texas A&M (74-73, their most impressive victory), Life Pacific College (cupcake), Santa Clara (bottom tier West Coast Conference team) and winless UTSA today.
