One of two things will happen:

1. King catches fire and Tulane hits a nasty buzzsaw. Big loss.

2. King plays decently well, but UH's inability to win in the trenches allows Tulane to keep pace and control clock for a narrow win.

The things playing in our favor:

1. UH already has blown the NY6 game. Motivation may be an issue.
2. UH is super thin at DL and are down a guy or two on offense. If our OL #1s > UH's DL #2s, then the running game is going to get rolling.
3. Attendance won't be great, their fans are checking out and don't buy into Applewhite.

HUGE opportunity for Tulane tonight. Game is on national TV on ESPN. Only two MAC games competing with it, Only 3 NBA games although one is Golden State at Houston, which may keep Houston's crowd down even more. A win on national TV to make us bowl eligible and in position to win the AAC West would do wonders for our image, and recruiting.

There's a little something called Thursday Night Football in the league that dominates the ratings going on tonight. And it's an intriguing matchup: Chicago vs. Minnesota. I would bet that games quadruples the ratings of Tulane Houston (if not by a larger margin.)

I see your point, and I get it. But let's not kid ourselves. The NFL is by leaps and bounds a bigger draw than ANY college game, no less two teams that aren't really on the national radar.

That all said, ROLL WAVE!

Actually it's Green Bay v. Seattle. An Interesting match-up too.

During my 20 minute 1.3 mile drive (yes one point 3 miles, I typically have a great commute) home in the snow tonight (!) they spoke about nothing but the Bears vs Vikings match up, so I assumed that was on tonight. My bad, I WAS WRONG!!

But that really shows you how distracted I've been with work. I'm as big an NFL fan (fantasy league 31st year) as you'll find.

Interesting calculation on the GreenWave's chances of becoming bowl-eligible over the next two games. I believe calculated using ESPN FPI numbers.

Good luck tonight! Roll Wave.

Dammit, I should have caught that. Sorry.

Of 35 teams possibly becoming bowl-eligible with 2-3 games left, Tulane ranks no. 9 with a 26.4% chance of becoming eligible tonight, an 80.5% chance against Navy, for a overall rate of 85.6%.

In a nutshell, Wave should bowl!!!!

Can’t Fritz and Ruse coach McMillan to throw the ball less than 100 mph? Bring in Howard next year- hopefully he can throw a catchable ball.

Our play calling will kill us this game. UH has few defensive starters, but they know exactly what we will do offensively. This will be in Fritz and Ruse.

Release is too slow. Leading to tipped passes.

Offense is impotent. Can't expect the defense to win this game.

Tackling is looking as if CJ is still our head coach.
