Spread opens Houston 10.5 pts. > Wave (Rotation nos. 311-312 for Vegas sheet) http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-foo ... las-vegas/

Houston, (7-3, AAC 4-2) body of work to date:

9/1 UH 45, Rice 27;
9/8 UH 45, Arizona 18;
9/15 TexTech 63, UH 49;
9/22 UH 70, Texas Southern 14;
10/4 UH 41, Tulsa 26;
10/13 UH 42, E. Carolina 20;
10/20 UH 49, Navy 36;
10/27 UH 57; USF 36;
11/3 SMU 45, UH 31;
11/10 Temple 59, UH 49.

Yesterday against Temple, Houston had 205 yards rushing and 322 yards passing while Temple rushed for 312 yards, and passed for 225 yards. Not much defense from either team.

The Houston “high water mark” for this season occurred on 9/8 when the Cougars beat Arizona (5-5, Pac Twelve 4-3) 45 to 18.

I just don't see Houston covering 10.5 pts.?

Houston is another winnable game, we will need one more big effort from the defense, a strong point all season for this team. We beat both USF & ECU with big plays rather than sustained drives. If we are to win on Thursday against Houston, we will probably again need big plays from our offense.

For Sagarin's page giving Houston 2.41 pts. as home team, the Cougars are a 6.97 pt. favorite for Thursday night. https://www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaaf/s ... onference/

Beat Houston & 7-5 for the season starts looking good! :D

O/U 68 pts.

Vegas is expecting some fireworks on Thursday night.

I am hoping we have more defense than Houston. ECU loaded the box and challenged us to pass believing McMillan couldn't get the job done. Houston has been giving up a ton of yards both on the ground and in the air. Tough call for the Cougs for how to defense the Wave? McMillan can throw a slant and we would really be dangerous if we could catch just about all of them?

And, by the way, Houston was favored by 9.5 pts. last year.

Yes, it looks like the "smart money" got burned on this one!

Nah, I'm sure the "smart money" knew how Tulane always chokes in a big game and spotted the points.

The "smart money" are those that moved the line from 9.5 to 7.5 in three days. Clearly they were wrong.
