Interesting. Trips left from about the 5 yard line, and a QB sweep to the right for the score. Kansas was playing man, so it was basically 8 on 8.cajunfanatico wrote: ↑Mon Sep 03, 2018 3:41 pm Wave win this one easily, 42 - 20.
Video highlights of their win over Kansas. Check out the alignment for that game-winning touchdown in overtime.

The spread generally comes out late for FBS v. FCS games. Since NSU did beat a "nominal P5" team in Kansas, perhaps there will be a bit more betting interest for our game on Saturday?

Yes. Odds posted on FB by Fear the Wave guy. Anyone know what the spread was for their game vs Kansas? Just curious as to what the oddsmakers think of us compared to Kansas.

This talk about the lines, the Kansas game, etc. should be in the game thread, not the prediction thread. I was about to post, but I'm taking it to that thread.

This is the tipping point. Find a way to lose here, and 0-6 is what likely happens.
I have zero confidence in this team, but I think you'll see some urgency late in the game. 27-21 Tulane.

Thanks for the link. Like he pointed out the best thing to happen for us was them winning last week.tpstulane wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 7:22 am 17.5 favorite and 49.5 total over/under

The big houses in Vegas still have no spread. We should get one late Thursday or early Friday. This is the Vegas pattern for FBS v. FCS.winwave wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 8:55 amThanks for the link. The Colonels keep it close for a quarter or so. But they're not the FCS team that ends our winning streak against FCS opponents (it will happen, when we play a top FCS team).

Scheduling a top FCS team is very bad scheduling in general. If you want something tricky, go play a decent MW team. Tulane cannot afford to make big mistakes with the schedule.

You are right. If we scheduled a North Dakota State, they came to New Orleans and beat us, it would look bad for us. They would bring a crowd, too. But with schedules made up a couple of years in advance, we might catch one that's moved into the FCS national championship contender group one year. We should play Southern and Grambling every so often, they bring crowds and their bands are amazing.oliveandblue wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 11:27 amScheduling a top FCS team is very bad scheduling in general. Had a strong feeling we’d take care of business. Crazy though nailing the exact score that was just lucky. Funny when Nicholls lined up to go for two I thought oh well then the timeout and they decided to kick it. I knew then I had a legitimate shot. Was also thinking we were going to take a knee down there at the end. Instead it all worked out. Unfortunately Show Me I didn’t bet this one. But it still feels good.
