You did. Terrible miscommunication allows a what should have been an easy fly out into a double and an error. Next batter scores him on a SF.

11 K's in 7 innings so far. The Wave have stranded too many runners the past few innings. Let's win this thing.

This pitcher Ross has amazing stats. Especially for a pitcher that has a 2-4 record (with 6 saves).

Same problem as always. Bullpen can't hold the lead. That's why TJ had to leave Roper in so long. He threw 117 pitches.

The main difference in this lose was COACHING.
No other way around it.
Spinning it any different would be "fake news."

Jewett needs to go out and get a big time closer and give him a full scholarship if necessary.

We stranded too many runners. The announcers summed it up well. Batting with runners on base, ECU was 5 for 8, Tulane was 2 for 11. Batting with runners in scoring position, ECU was 3 for 6, Tulane was 0-9. And we lose by 1. Spoon and Roper are the only reasons we were in the game. Many of the Tulane at-bats were absolutely awful.

Yep. We are clearly lacking in talent both in the line-up and on the mound. We need a lot more than a closer. Throw in the coaching and we get this.

Timely hitting is not there. But that depends on who’s up in that situation. Heck if you load the bases you’re doing something right. Pitching is easily solved with one good closer.
Here’s a few in the past:
Brian Gibbs Brandon Belanger Nick Pepitone DJ Ponder Ian Giabut Joey Charron Barth Melius Sean Morgan and Daniel Latham.. We don’t have that guy on this club. You make it a 7 inning game when you have a solid closer. We’ve lost a bunch leading after the 6th this year.

First off you're rarely if ever going to have a staff that can go 7 good innings every game. More importantly those guys were good but it took a bullpen to help get the game to them. One guy never has and never will be able to come in and close out every game. It's too simplistic to think otherwise. I know it doesn't fit the narrative of we have plenty of talent but we don't and this staff needs to step up the recruiting big time.

Hijack alert
Friday and Saturday Gillies and Roper are good enough to keep us in it through 7 innings. If not every game but most games. Sunday and midweek are less about 7 inning games. That doesn’t mean they go 7 full innings each outing. Our problem has not been starting pitching or scoring runs.
