Ohio State bought us short: close-by neighbor Akron is getting $1,800,000 fortheir game in Columbus, as is Buffalo.
Why did our AD sell us short for only $1,500.000 ?

Our deal was done 2 years ago. So expect inflation. This article says north of $1.5 million.

I've heard of selling short, but never "bought short". I've also known of buying to cover a short sale, but that's something entirely different. We're getting $1.5 million to get clobbered in Columbus. Take the check and hope we get out of the game injury free.
