Spring Practice returns:

Good to hear that Banks continues to improve. Obviously he's the key to us having a successful season. Maybe more importantly if he has a good season throwing the ball it will help us recruit better at the position going forward. Our back-ups are young and will hopefully improve in time but based on other reports it appears we'll have to bring in another JC or grad transfer at the position for next season

Weather report looks gloomy for Saturday, hope it doesn't affect the Spring Game.

Anyone hear anything about offers/scouting outside QBs?

Under the new rules it appears we are at the max and can't bring anyone else this season.

Yikes. Fritz seems like he's building a solid program bottom up and this should be a corner turning year. However we're one knee/ankle/shoulder injury away from same old same old Tulane.

Finally we get a disciplined and long term focused and I'm surprised he'd leave himself this exposed in a critical year.

I try to take comfort in the fact that the reports last spring on banks weren’t glowing. The new guy had that extra time with early graduation. Hopefully he’ll be serviceable if called on. Hopefully he won’t be called on.

The spring reports weren't as glowing for Banks last year, but he also cemented himself as the starter after Springball. As long as Banks and the team keeps improving we should be in a good spot. I also really like the fact that Fritz is beginning to build on the depth of the team because we will desperately need it when we travel up to the Shoe this year. Happy Tuesday and ROLL DAMN WAVE!

The reports from Guerry Smith, which unfortunately don't all get put in The Advocate, have been positive about Banks continued development. This is the first time in college that he's played in the same system two years in a row. He has all of his primary targets back, Encalade, Mooney, Jones and Clewis. As long as he stays healthy the offense should be fun to watch for the first time in a long time. As we all know offense sells tickets and hopefully it will help us win games this year.

Most reasonable people feel like this team can win with Banks and this can be a very good season. The problem comes with Banks missing the smallest amount of game time. With the way he plays, it's hard to imagine him taking every snap. He plays hard and lays out for it on every play.

I really love all the new blood. The schedule is reasonable, and to be honest the baseball team can have an off year if it means that this team makes a bowl.

I think they're 7-5, and it's not even an unrealistic expectation. Fritz is making this program better.

BTW, if Tulane runs the ball well in all of the winnable games... ...then they'll just eat up clock and not HAVE to score 40+.

Any talk of changing game time or even date? Weather looking bad Saturday.
