Except that he's not. He was quickly moved to WR after getting here b/c of his passing deficiencies. He'll likely be moved back there for the spring to give us an extra body. We have a serious shortage at the position and hopefully it will be quickly addressed by the staff.

So the incoming punter is probably 4th on the depth chart then? I know we have a couple walk ons but the punter is "6'3 240".

we will see....looking at his tape, I wonder what the deficiencies are...hitting open receivers ?

He didn't look good here when facing college competition. We all know highlight tapes are very misleading. When you play behind our line you are going to be under constant distress. He didn't hold up.

Probably some guy in the Intramural league , who is Pre-med and can't be bothered.

Actually it's a finance major, rising senior, who doesn't want to go through any more back pain. But mobile and has a cannon, and throws better than any Fritz recruit to date.

Why can't Tulane ask Bradwell to move back to quarterback? At the least he can be 3rd string and still be a running back.

Of course they can. The point is though that he's not a solution if Banks gets hurt. He can't throw the ball effectively. We'd be one dimensional again. Everybody else that recruited him did so as a RB. There was a reason for that. The staff needs to go get some help at the position in the time they have left.

Here's the thing: what are the odds of Tulane potentially landing someone between now and Fall that would be any more effective than Bradwell, who, yes, is limited, but has two full years in the system? Whomever they sign would only have Fall practice to get acclimated at this point.

The point is either way were screwed for next season if Banks gets hurt. If we have to play Bradwell we have no chance to have a winning season. Hopefully the staff can get a JC or grad transfer who will be here in the summer. The rules were changed a couple of years ago and coaches do get to work with the players some. I'd much rather bring someone in who is a QB than to have to turn to Bradwell or Ledford. Even if they couldn't help next season they would be ready for the following year when Banks is gone. So it's imperative that the position be addressed now.

The scouting report from Jonathan Joseph is that he is the next Kurt Warner.

Appears that we have our QB's for the upcoming season. Very Disappointing that what appears to be a decent recruiting class is damaged by not being able to add a QB that wants to be a part of Coach Fritz' style of play. Hopefully for 2019 Coach Fritz acknowledges his mistake and joins the rest of the College FB world.

Certainly our current style is being used against us by every other school speaking with a common QB recruit prospect .

What "current style" are you referring to? The one that over the last 6 games of the season averaged 25.5 pass attempts and 226 passing YPG?
