Two games in a row on ABC-UCF at Michigan and then Tulsa at Ohio State. Go AAC.

If the two teams lose by a combined margin that's less than 75 points, I'd be very surprised. I wouldn't exactly call this a "Big Day" for the AAC. It has a whole lot of potential to brand the conference as "Houston and a bunch of weaklings."

This Saturday is truly a Big Day for the AAC. As is his norm, winwave was just premature. This week the AAC plays 6 P5 teams, with a great chance at going 4-2, decent shot at 5-1, and outside opportunity to sweep (can Temple really win in State Park?) All in all it's a much better opportunity for the conference to hang some P5 skins than a week ago. Last week, as we all knew, was set up for a massacre.

Although the author doesn't talk too much about Tulane, she gives us a few props. She also calls Tulane a bottom feeder in the AAC. Others have said she has siblings that are Tulane alums.

As usual D is bitter and lacking in reading comprehension. Last week was a big day of opportunity as the AAC had two games on ABC in good time slots. If we are to be a power 6 you need to show you can hold up in those spots. The conference didn't. Missed opportunity. This week it can win some games but there isn't a single ranked team involved. That just doesn't move the needle so it's not a big day.

Did you guys see Tulsa keep Ohio State's offense out of the endzone for half of game plus 5 minutes of the third quarter? Geez that's impressive given how Ohio State crushed a (depleted) Bowling Green. If Tulsa's defense can keep that up and Tulsa can continue to field a top 25 offense, it should be a real threat for the AAC West title.

Not a big day at all. Went 3-3 against teams that are very beatable.

What should have been a 4-2 day, with a chance at 5-1 and a long shot at 6-0 turned into an uninspiring 3-3. Temple played Penn State very tough in Happy Valley on Joe Pa day. UCF fell in double OT to Maryland, USF rallied and beat Syracuse convincingly, Memphis routed Kansas, UConn snuck by UVa, and ECU fell short at South Carolina. All in all a mediocre day, but a hell of a lot better than last week when we (very predictably) had two teams on ABC get blown out by a total of 82 points. It looks very much like those blowout losses last week were an accurate measure of our conference: Houston and a bunch of wannabees.

How the heck did the topic of this thread change? I don't know how to do that, but for sure the third week of the season was a whole lot better for the AAC than week two, which saw two AAC teams lose on national network TV by 80+ points. Maybe foreseeing the blowout losses, the threads ORIGINAL title should have been "Tough Day on TV for the AAC." Anyone that didn't see those blowout losses on ABC coming knows little about college football.

Wasn't better at all. Only a fool would thinks so. It wasn't going against tough competition and yet couldn't come away w/a winning weekend. Everyone said we should go at least 4-2. Didn't happen.

Gonna need very strong second halves to salvage what's shaping up as a very dark day for the AAC:

FSU up 38-14 at half over USF. VT is crushing ECU 38-0 over ECU. Cuse is beating UCONN 14-0.

Very bad day for the conference. FSU wins by 20 over USF at USF. VT crushes ECU 54-17. Cuse beats UCONN at UConn in a game UCONN was favored to win.

The bad days keep coming as both Navy and Memphis took on butt kickings.
