You take a risk when you ignore a coach's past. SMU took it and it looks like they could get burned for it. Sort of like schools wanting to win so badly and ignoring a potential players legal miss steps in the past on grounds of we want to give the kid a second chance.

The SMU kid should have gone to NC where they have pretend classes ;)

At some point, a person must be removed from the NCAA "Haul of Fame" for repeated violations...fyi "sic" intentional

We all know, "where Larry goes, trouble follows"! He is finished at SMU. And, so is basketball recruiting at SMU until his replacement is hired.

It will be interesting to see what happens and how bad the penalties are which might affect who wants the job.
