Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

Do you think Manny will reconsider his situation as Temple's HC?

In some ways you gotta wonder about a guy that's only 58, coaching at his alma mater dream job, then retiring after only 3 seasons. Something just doesn't feel right.

The view from Temple & Philly on Manny Diaz: Miami hasn't contacted Temple, Diaz has a buyout & he is just in Miami interviewing assistants?

He left Temple “at the altar”. Leaves after two weeks to take Miami job. Took the Temple job on Dec. 13 and signed his first recruiting class with the Owls a couple of days later. Wow poor Temple except for the $4 million they going to get from Miami for stealing him back.

Richt was public about his struggles, particularly during the four-game losing streak. James mentioned the skid specifically: “I think Mark was public about it. The four-game losing streak was one of the hardest times in his football career. Obviously, any time you go through something like that and as long as Mark has been coaching. It probably wore on him and that’s a question that’s better for him. He likes to win and I know that was a tough time for him.”
Some lame ass head coach he is. No wonder he retired. A "four-game losing streak" was one of the hardest times in his football career? So instead of turning things around, he just walks away? Puh-lease.

Temple has a deep hatred of Rutgers with Greg Schiano the poster boy of their scorn.

That scorn, must have been when Temple was a "private" school...so do the stupid thing and don't hire him.....Texas, "hates" Oklahoma, but it did not stop them from hiring Darryl Royal

I'd say it's better to lose him like this, than to see him have a great first season as HC at Temple and then lose him to Miami or someone else. Just my humble opinion though. Bet it still stings, especially for the kids who'd bought in and signed.

Temple should now file suit and then motion for summary judgment on its "buyout" (liquidated damages clause) with Diaz.

So by default, Tulane is soon to be the poster child of stability. If I'm correct, behind Ken N. at Navy and Phillip Montgomery at Tulsa, Fritz will be the third longest tenured coach in the AAC next year. And that's if Montgomery makes it to next season. He's 5-19 the last two seasons.

Yep, for now the AAC is a "coaching farm league" for the P5s.

Looks like its a done deal. And the AAC may be losing another coach as well. Cincinnati's Luke Fickell seems to be on the short list for the WVU job. He had a big advantage at Cincy being he was from the area and also recruited the area for Ohio State. Wonder how losing him will affect their progress?
