March 7th Tu
April 18th ULL
We should be fine. Our big lost will probably be at catcher. Jake Rogers was probably the best defensive catcher in the country last year. Will miss him throwing out runners trying to steal left and right. Bullpen pitching is also a question mark. Other than that we should be a Regional team for the third year in a row.

It's preseason but it looks like Louisiana has 4 teams in the top 40:

LSU
Louisiana - Lafayette
Tulane
and Southeastern Louisiana

I think Tulane has two games each against New Orleans, Southeastern Louisiana, Nicholls State, LSU and Louisiana - Lafayette with one game vs. McNeese State.

I think that is it.

We can hope to be a regional team but there are several critical question marks. We return 6 veteran position players who have had success the last two years. However, the two position players we lost were two of the very best at their positions and to make it worse they played the two most critical positions on defense, SS and catcher. On top of that we literally didn't have a catcher who could throw the ball back to the pitcher in fall ball due to arm injuries. In last weeks scrimmage you could see they are still not 100%.

We should have one of the best weekend starting rotations in the country. After that we have serious question marks. We only return one reliever who pitched any meaningful innings last year and he was at the bottom of our pecking order coming in out of the pen. We have no mid-week starter nor closer. We'll need to find those and at least three other relievers to round out the pen. If we are successful in filling those spots out we could have a really good year.

We owe Nicholls St. Because they swept us last year.

Looks good. I wish Turchin had that overhang roof.

No doubt about that tps. The only complaint about the original Turchin was that it didn't have a covered grandstand. Every year they would promise that it would be covered by the next season. Never happened. So then they rebuild and don't add a covered roof. Then when people complained they said well the way it's built it would be very difficult and expensive to cover the grandstand.

It won't be completed, but it will be ready for tomorrow night's series opener with S. Miss.

Cajuns open the new Tigue before 5250 fans last night against S. Miss. Good game as expected.

Monica's parents. Don't know if their son is handsome or not, but his dad definitely hit a home run choosing that lady.
