As expected, Matt Riser is doing a great job with SELA this year. They stand at 3-1 and, although they have not faced any strong opponents yet they will be playing U Conn this weekend in Hammond followed by LSU in Hammond on Weds. This brings up fond memories of the gone but never to be forgotten John Hainkel whose fondness for SELA athletics was only surpassed by his absolute devotion to Tulane athletics.

Daniel Latham has done a great job with the SELA pitching staff and has had a hand in recruiting. I like the Tulane/SELA connection and look forward to Daniel, and Matt, having options next year if SELA has continued success this year.
