....and best college city.

This year, New Orleans’ Tulane University takes the No. 1 spot. Tulane was No. 1 on Princeton Review’s party list only once before: In 1992, when the very first list was published for the 1993 edition.

“People are definitely partiers. If you’re not going out at least twice a week you’re in the minority,” reads a student quote from the 2018 edition. “Intelligence is well respected. What do we do for fun? We party. But we don’t just get drunk. We party with a purpose.”

Bucknell and Wisconsin-Madison are the only other academic schools on the list. So, quite an accomplishment for our Tulane, USN&WR Academic no. 39 and Princeton no.1 Party School; only in New Orleans, only at Tulane! :)

We just can't stay consistently good in anything.

Oh well, even the Crimson Tide doesn’t win the NCAA football championship every year, but almost? :) Yet, I am confident we will always be Top 10 for Party School.

No doubt, we need to focus on "finishing strong".

Not surprisingly, for this category as for all others, Tulane has no peer for Louisiana. ;)

When I was an undergrad, I remember Playboy Magazine did a "Top Party Schools" article (one of the few I read in that publication!) At the end of the article they had a footnote about Tulane. It read something like "We omit Tulane from the list because it's not fair to compare professionals to amateurs."

That being said, at $70k/year, I would hope the kids value their time in the classroom. I did my fair share (and then some) of partying as an undergrad. But, having worked my way through and paying a good portion myself, I very rarely missed class. A lot of sweat and hustle went into my degree, and it wasn't due to the two years I spent as a (founding) member of the Tulane Hockey club.
