He'll probably go to an FCS school so he can play right away. Like Grambling, Southern or SELA.
I don't see him coming here sitting out a year and hoping to start after that. I'm sure he's spoken to a few schools already and has a place to land.

From reading the article he's going to graduate in May, so he'll be able to play anywhere in 2017 as a grad transfer.

Ok. Then that's a big difference. But he has to know he's going to be the starter.

And the Advocate throws the kid under the bus on his way out of town. How classy.

Rabalais: LSU won't miss Brandon Harris drama but may sorely miss this trait of his...
Drama was the major area of study when it came to the senior quarterback’s career, first in his duel with current UL-Lafayette quarterback Anthony Jennings (a win for Harris) and then with Danny Etling (a loss from which he never recovered). That the Tigers will be able to do without all that in 2017 is in a sense a blessing.

It would surprise me quite a bit. I think he can do a lot better than FCS. Hell, the guy he took the job from ended up starting at a G5. Brandon Harris could probably start for us immediately.

They already have a good QB who transferred I believe from Ole Miss. He may follow Jennings path and go to ULL.

Would be huge get. Show that Tulane belongs in AAC with all the other schools getting big time transfers.

What a turd the writer is. Harris was inconsistent for sure but he did show flashes and I would think will be a good pickup for someone.

I was hoping it would be Lindsey Scott instead. Scott will move up another spot on the debt chart. First Jennings and now Harris have left that crowded QB position.

I agree with your assessment of the author but here is the very next paragraph in the article:

"In the long term, though, Harris’ decision could be a major blow to LSU’s hopes for whatever kind of season the Tigers can have, if there’s a blow to starting quarterback Etling."

That's more than a pro forma nod to Harris even after the dis in the previous paragraph.

If I'm correct, headlines are usually not written by the author. So whomever wrote it probably just read the first paragraph and based it on that. Because, in true journalism, the lead paragraph SHOULD have the most important information in it.
