Are Tulane & Loyola OK so far?

The Miss. River is VERY HIGH up here in Red Stick. They must open the Morganza Spillway very soon. It has to happen.

Everything is fine down here, at least that's what they're telling us. However, if they don't open Morganza and/or Old River Control the Corps say there will be 25 ft of water in New orleans. Even with that information apparently they still havent made a decision because the water isnt moving fast enough. I also heard a Corps official interviewed have very skeptical opinions on whether or not the levees in NOLA were as flood-proof as we've been told. He seemed to be less than positive they would hold if it gets as high as they are claiming. I haven't seen him interviewed since. The good news is if the levees do give at least we won't have a 15 hour evacuation, we'll just drown.
