Re: Spring Game Report- 2024
I thought 91 Batiste looked really good on defense. He made several plays and got in the backfield. I personally thought Mensah looked the best of our QB's. Made throws on the run. Thompson threw several wounded ducks. Horton made some good throws, but had some bad ones. We need a K, big time. Terr...

Re: Quarterback Competition?
This is a true competition. Many people assumed because of his ratings Ty was going to be the starter and this supposed competition was just a dog and pony show. Not the case . it has always been a true competition. Horton had gone into the portal This staff went after him to get him back because th...

Re: Quarterback Competition?
Mensah has repeatedly made weak throws to open receivers allowing the DB's to have time to recover and break the passes up. He worked with the 2's all day, never the ones. It's a two man race between Kai and Ty.

Re: Spring Game Report- 2024
He earned his time I think. If Shaadie's injury is minor and I think it is he had looked good. So it's a deep room. Cornist could look to the portal as he does have ta]ent.

Re: Spring Game Report- 2024
Meant to mention I feel better about LB after the spring. Agu played well throughout the spring. Rodgers really stepped up as it went along. Williams looked pretty good himself.

Re: Spring Game Report- 2024
Horton and Thompson have showed ability it's just not consistent. As I posted above there's a lot of time till the first game. Hopefully at least one finds that consistency.

Re: Spring Game report- 2024
WW, thanks for the terrific breakdown. Are all the injured players expected back when fall practice begins? Do we look like a team that could be better than the previous two years? Not looking good for Tuggle. The rest I think will be back. As to Hamilton I have been wondering about him too. He is ...

Re: Quarterback Competition?
Not sure if your poking the bear here but if your being serious I would strongly disagree with that take. There's a lot of time but it is far from decided.NOLABigSteve wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 10:37 am At the Spring game, Ty is running with the 1’s. He’s 100% the starter.

Re: USA Beats Tulane 14-7
Like I said I've seen the high level travel teams and they have the fundamentals down. Fun to watch the execution.

Re: USA Beats Tulane 14-7
I think it's just piss poor coaching by our staff. I'm not a fan of travel ball as it has ruined play at our playgrounds. The better travel teams have the more talented players and those teams have good coaches that do practice them a lot on fundamentals. I've seen them play and they execute the fun...

Re: USA Beats Tulane 14-7
I can still remember him coaching 3rd base and after losing an argument with umps he would go back the 3rd base coaching box and do a handstand.

Re: Performance Center
Guys I'll remind you again this isn't just about a few neighbors right behind the stadium. The whole area up there including the neighborhood on the other side of Claiborne had objections to the stadium. Tulane ultimately capitulated and signed agreements with them. So it's not as simple as just buy...

Re: Khai Prean
Where does he fit in? WR is our deepest position already if not cornerback. We have a ton of talent at WR, probably the most in program history. We have needs at OL and Edge. We are pretty loaded for this upcoming season. Brown,Fleming and Williams could be gone after this year though. So hopefully...

Re: FOOTBALL TRANSFER PORTAL 2023
He is practicing with the team and I fully expect him to play in the spring game Saturday. Some LSU people are claiming it's a done deal but that's clearly not the case or he wouldn't be risking injury here. That doesn't mean it won't end up happening but we clearly have a chance to keep him.
