Re: Fritz Contract extension to 2023

Contract extended to 2023. Ridiculous considering 2 losing seasons. Sorry, not sorry. All joking aside, Kansas firing its AD probably forced Tulane to do something, as the firing of their AD indicated that their coach will probably be fired by the end of next season. That being said, the ex...

Re: AAC Tourney

Radar shows thunderstorms starting to form SE of Orlando. With the Tulane game not starting until at least 12:30, we may have some issues.

Tulane signee under Pierce now throwing 105mph for St Louis Cards. Re: Chrome

It all depends on screen resolution. Since the site is responsive, different elements hide and show based off of available space. Chrome on my Mac shows that info. Try dragging the window at the top right and resizing it, and you'll see things hide and show. If this doesn't help, let me know your cu...

Re: Andy Cannizaro

We look worse this year than last. That NCAA transfer rule/tuition argument has nothing to do with:

- Pitching
- Fielding
- Errors

And all of those are 100% coaching. We were better under Pierce. TJ is not the answer.

I had high hopes for Scott. He had a lot of nice offers and we stole him late from USF. Also amazing name.

6. Given that prospective students with higher test scores care less about athletics, what type of gains do high academic institutions experience? The two are not mutually exclusive. No way, no how. There are PLENTY of smart students (high test scores, scholarships, etc.) that also like athletics, ...

Re: Melvin Frazier now projected 1st round pick

Too bad he did not stick and get his degree too, though. Why? So he can risk getting injured and not make that 1st round money? Get drafted in the 1st round and the salary and signing bonus after taxes will put him easily 20+ years ahead than an average Joe with an average salary coming out of coll...

Re: The Never Ending Gift of Cowen

I wonder if Cowen now believes it was a mistake to overrule Sandy Barbour and say no to RR in 1998? But, then of course, Chris Scelfo, Georgia's OL coach, did agree to $350K a year and "promise to stay"" ? I wonder if Cowen now believes it was a mistake to pull the rug out on Scelfo in the sp...

Re: The Never Ending Gift of Cowen

Glad he finally admitted he wanted to go DIII and regrets his decision not to go DIII to this day. Everyone around at that time knew it. Hard to believe he still doesn’t understand what a successful athletic program does for the University as a whole. Ask Alabama and others. Not sure if I'm reading...
