Re: Most Bitter-Sweet Game of the Year
The Tulsa game was the most bitter sweet. Our offense, including the Quarterback looked good in the first half, in fact that might have been their best half of the season. The team was in control of the game. Then Lee turned it over near the end of the half and the offense never really recovered th...

When RD is on the road soliciting donations (big ones) I wonder if he wears tie in that scenario. I certainly hope so. I know if I were one of the ones whose money he is trying to squeeze out of me he better be wearing a tie. Elsewise I would say no, and tell him why I am denying his request.

Re: Yulman Stadium Review
The small size ruins the atmosphere b/c those that want Tulane to become a top 25 program sit there and see the very low ceiling this tiny stadium puts on things. It certainly didn't create a home field advantage as we went 2-4. Last season we went 5-1 in the regular season at home in the Dome. Far...

Lit up a cigar on the quad in our tailgate, away from anyone who cared, and was told by a TU policeman I either had to put it out or be escorted off campus as a trespasser. Two times this season our tailgate was robbed after we went into the game. TU police did nothing. So to recap; TUPD can't or w...

Re: No one in stands tonight student section empty
I seem to remember that when it was announced that an OCS would be built was that the students would be able to roll out of bed and go to a game instead of making the trip to the Superdome which was "too far away." Well, what happened yesterday? Did 98% of the students break a leg when the...

If all of the players showed up for the basketball game, that means there is a 15 player roster. Don't know how many a team can suit up at the club level, or even at the NCAA level, but the pros suit up 20. Big Mike invited the coach and captain out to our GB meeting. By the way we also met the goa...

Re: Tulane crushes LSU 25-1
I wonder if he "didn't care" on 02/22/80. If he didn't care then well, he's was totally out of touch with what the rest of the country was tuned in to that day. BTW, I consider a goal in hockey equivalent to a TD in football. So that would mean a score of 175-7 in football jargon. In any ...

First, it's a club sport. NO ONE CARES. Second, I find little to like in a bunch of mediocre prep schoolers from the northeast beating up on an outmanned team, even if it is our arch rival. The game never should have been scheduled. Oh, AND NO ONE CARES. Please advise when you were assigned the dut...

Re: A question about Yulman Stadium Atmosphere
NOLA task says the turnstile count was only 15,720 for the UConn game. If true, a very "Dome-ish" number for the game? Dome would have been 5K or less. Still not good. Stadium's get old winning never does. Unfortunately we do not have enough evidence in Tulane's case to verify your last s...

Your last sentence said a mouthful.tpstulane wrote:Looked less to me. Less than 3K were remaining after half. Playing at the dome you don't get any students to show up on Halloween. So why would you think we'd have more? Temple game will be less than 5,000. Stadiums get old winning never does.

Re: A question about Yulman Stadium Atmosphere
Probably so, but at 23K+- it can't be that much louder. That's for two related reasons: 1) the dome is enclosed, and that makes it hold the noise in better. 2) Yulman is open air and shallow enough that the noise escapes.Hornetswave wrote:Its louder than the 5000 people that where in the dome.
