New York Times has called. Big Mike did the interview today as to his take on UAB dropping football as compared to what happened to Tulane in 2003. God I hope he blasted Scott Cowen.

Re: ULL going to New Orleans Bowl again
Yes I know the Cajuns are going to the NO Bowl because the champ Georgia Southern is ineligible from bowl games this season since moving up. The weak SBC schedule limits any access bowl. Look at Marshall this year. You'd have to go 13-0 to get any shot. That's not likely to happen for any school. F...

Re: Uh... guys? Kendall Bussey
He tore his ACL in Newman's last game. Wow, brutal couple of weeks. i wonder if he would have been going as hard if he hadn't opened up his recruiting. I'd have no problem signing him and redshirting him in 2015. Injuries happen, just one of those things. That injury will affect his recruiting thou...

Dante Butler's SUV story
http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2014/12/tulane_running_back_dante_butl.html As Butler's mother made her way to the Walgreen's after being called about the incident, she passed her son's car, recognizing the Tulane plates, she recalled later. By coincidence, an NOPD unit was traveling behind her ...

Re: ULL going to New Orleans Bowl again
Hudspeth signed a six year extension in June, at a base salary of $950k. He sure showed us last year which team was better prepared to start the Bowl game. Also, Tulane hasn't EVER been to a bowl game four years in a row. Bottom line is that UL-L has their program on a more solid foundation than we...

I've seen Jesuit play a few times this year and I've always been impressed with their tight end. Foster Moreau can catch and is hard to bring down. He's an "old school" type of TE. Good offer there.

Re: MBB Tulane wins at Loyola, ILL 83-70
loyala's predictive RPI was 232 before the Tulane game. Tulane's before tonight was 168. Tulane's power rating was 11 points lower. Since we are early in I think this shows us to be better than last year and that is about it. However, I doubt we finish last in the AAC this years like the coaches pr...

We'll beat every team we play if we can match their size. We have problems with bigger teams. That's why we run that offense. We are guard heavy and lack a legitimate post player.

Five Guys opened here in Covington a few years ago. I went a lot after they first opened and thought they were great. But after awhile it's not that great. Company Burger is better IMO.

Re: Tanner Lee
I went back and looked at the Tulsa, Duke, GT, Memphis and Houston games since Monday to see where Lee's mistakes were made. Most of them have been made misreading the zone coverage underneath. When the linebackers buzz into underneath zones or corners playing zone drop off their main receiver and ...

Re: MBB Tulane wins at Loyola, ILL 83-70
What happened to Mack? As much as I want to take away positives, we still don't know anything about this team yet. The guard play seems legit and I like some of the things the bigs have shown but interior D and rebounding still looks very shaky. This weekend will be the best gauge so far. As to Mac...

Re: MBB Tulane wins at Loyola, ILL 83-70
I was at the game, we looked pretty good for stretches of the game. But Loyola is bad, and small, so a perfect match up for us. As I have said in the past, we'll beat smaller teams, and Loyola didn't have anyone over 6'7. We dominated them on boards in first half to take early lead. Drye had a grea...

The American is not as strong as it was last year. I think we will a few more than people think. +1 So far it seems so. AAC standings: SCHOOL OVERALL Tulane 6-1 Cincinnati 6-1 UCF 5-1 USF 5-2 Houston 2-1 UConn 3-2 SMU 4-3 Temple 4-3 Tulsa 4-3 ECU. 4-4 Memphis 2-3

Re: MBB Tulane wins at Loyola, ILL 83-70
Took the lead early and never looked back. Saturday will be a bigger test, but this road win was surprisingly easy. We are a better team this year. But same as Football the schedule is much tougher. Hit 19-21 free throws in the 2nd half. Beat them on the boards 37-22. Tulane never trailed. Biggest ...

Back to the topic. The next two games are two highest non conf RPI teams on our schedule. It's a good gauge to see if we have really improved. We need at least a split. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/rpi/_/groupId/62/teamId/2655 Washington and St Johns are the other top 100 RPI's we'll ...
