Re: 1998 was a fluke!!!!

Bump for Fred who agrees with Cowen. Calling it "fluke-ish" http://gotula.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6695&p=102761#p102761 I say that 1998 happened because there was 1.) a manageable schedule, 2.) a great group of players who also had some talent that Buddy Teevens had been to bring i...

Re: Big 12 expansion

It's really simple. If Tulane did things right from the start and had success you'd have P5 conferences knocking on its door wanting them instead of the other way around. Actually if Tulane had done things right from the start it would still be in the SEC . +1,000,000 And again, if we had invested ...

Re: Kushner's Tulane Chat - 11:00 AM

The only chance we get into the NCAA's is to win the AAC tournament the league is a good at best this year. So maybe two bids. Our RPI will likely not be strong enough to crack the top 40-50. ULL won their SBC tournament and that's how they got to the dance the last time.

Big 12 looking in the direction of the biggest TV markets. http://www.news-press.com/story/sports/columnists/david-moulton/2014/12/10/usf-needs-ucf-move-football-power-conference/20227743/ Once the Big 12 gets a foothold in Florida, they don't need a second. Even though Tampa is a top-15 TV market (...

Re: Prices's staying

Lee has never shown that he D1 QB material. He had a couple of flashes of success, but, not the real moxie that a D1 QB needs. Price has a 5 year history of being a loser and his brother is even worse. If CJ can't see the need for a completely offensive coaching and scheme change then the 2015 seas...

Re: Prices's staying

Right or wrong, CJ really believes in Lee. At the moment we have no one else that can run his pro offense. He's not changing. Almost half of Lee's INT's 6 came in the two P5's games we played (Duke and GT). We are not equipped to play better competition. As RD would say "It is what it is"...

Re: Prices's staying

We all know the old saw about insanity; doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. We go 3-9 and the decision is "steady as she goes?" Since our schedule will not be substantially different or easier next year, is the only thing Tulane counting on to improve on th...

Re: Yulman Stadium Review

Good talent wants to play for a winner with a full stadium. We offer neither. The only thing we can offer is a chance to play as a freshman, play at home and get a Tulane degree. That's it.

The NIMBY's were against soccer so Tulane built the stadium as to accommodate their wishes. Remember they don't want undesirables peeing in their yards.

Re: Prices's staying

I've always said CJ is going to have to out recruit to make up for the lack of HC experience. The thing is we have a pretty good staff in most areas. But you are only as good as your weakest link.

Re: Turchin Lights

Did anyone else notice the boxes of lights in Turchin this past Saturday? Guess we are getting new lights. Saw that. The outfield fences need serious attention. Many areas the plywood has rotted away. Just walk along the outside of the park and you can see it. The lights last year were never right....

CJ said Price did an "admirable" job doing with he had to do with those young kids. He said he understands the impatience of his fans base. Said in the off season he will have Tanner Lee working on the back shoulder throw. With Doss going pro and Redwine and Skold are not coming back we wi...

Re: Yulman Stadium Review
