Tulane Wins Pepperdine Series

Pepperdine is 4-13. They got swept by W. Michigan in a 4 game series and none of the games were close. They also got swept by Villanova. None of those games were close. They are awful. This is a series we need to not only sweep but crush them.

Re: Spring Practice-2024

It is refreshing to judge by wins and losses. It is amazing that RD could state publicly more than once that we don't judge by wins and losses and keep his job for years. If someone in athletics said that today they would be fired on the spot like everywhere else.

No idea how this staff ever thought Saum had Friday night stuff. Hopefully they have seen the light.

Re: Spring Practice-2024

Despite the procedure on his foot he is participating in 7 on 7 and 1 on 1 drills. So doesn't look to be too serious.

Their starter has a 6.75ERA so that should be doable.

Titans just agreed to sign Tony Pollard yesterday. Hope Tyjae wins the starting spot. He should get a lot more playing time either way.

Now we find out about Harris. Lisa should be gone as HC. Time for action.

Re: SELA Game Thread

I specifically mentioned ECU. As to CSF they are 7-7 with a series loss to Fresno. They are a decent opponent and we have a rivalry with them in this sport. Hainkel created the Pontchartrain Cup. Hope we get the win.

UNT Beats Hunter-81-71

Tulane needed to win Friday and have other games go their way to get a bye in the tourney. In a rarity it happened. We play UNT on Thursday at 6 on ESPNU.

Re: Thoughts on a day at the Ladies Basketball Game

We have no shortage of lawyers on this board who know employment law better than me, particularly in Louisiana. But if the contract was to coach basketball and the employer says "to get paid you have to give up basketball and become a fundraiser" I'd expect that's a breach of contract on ...

Just an unbelievably horrible way to lose the game and the series. Lots of veterans on this team so they should be able to rebound from it. Damn shame.

Re: Donor Fatigue nationwide

I've said since the beginning that it wouldn't be sustainable. With donating for facilities it's a one time thing and the donor gets recognition for it. NIL is never ending. As for them saying let the schools pay them they miss the point that the fans are still ultimately going to be the ones that p...

If I were in her shoes, I wouldn't take that offer. I'd let them fire me and pay out the contract.
Doubt she'd want to go out that way. We'll know soon enough.

Re: ULL Series

It’s definitely a good enough start for those of us that had written off Jay Uhlman and Tulane Baseball to reconsider. It’s also noted that we scheduled a weekend series against a team that’s typically pretty good, and could be an in-state rival. I’ll be more impressed with a series win this weeken...

Re: WSU Game Thread

Hunter reminds me of former LSU coach, Dale Brown. He was a very questionable coach who always had talent to bail him out and mask his deficiencies. Brown even had a defense, the Freak, that he advertised as some unique invention. Brown, however, never went so far as to minimize offensive reboundin...
