Very sad to hear it. He was easily the best and such a good guy.

Re: Wake's QB Suspended

Newman is definitely a downgrade. Yes. But he’ll get a lot more work now to prepare for his start. We all know that. It doesn't change the fact that it's not Hinton who had some starts and was going to likely progress during the year and have a good year. This kid hasn't played a meaningful snap an...

Re: Wake's QB Suspended

Thank you Debbie Downer. Not meant to be just had it been the week of the game then it would be better. Just saying the other QB now has 3 months to get prepared. That’s a lot of time. Just read that he was a potential starter. He was backup last year. From the story: Hinton was the team’...

Re: Wake's QB Suspended

In all seriousness what I hope to see that night is for us to win with our offense looking really good. We have a fifth year QB who is in the same system two years in a row for the first time in his career. He finished strong as we opened things up. Defensively we got some players in early on defens...

Wake's QB Suspended

Our chances just improved. Hinton is suspended for the first three games. Timing is everything.

Re: AAC Attempts at Power Status

That's true, but there are ceilings in the G5. If anyone wants to claim otherwise, one can simply point them to Boise State - a program that has been a consistent winner but could not hit 32k in average attendance (incl. MWC championship game) in the 11th season since 2001 that it has finished in t...

Rule Changes

Transfer and Redshirt changes:

https://collegefootball.ap.org/article/ ... -transfers

As for RS's they can now play in up to 4 games and they don't have to necessarily show injury. It can be any 4 games.

Re: AAC Attempts at Power Status

No one said we'll get that but if it's not a significant increase over our current TV money then P6 status isn't going to happen.

Thanks for the link. Gotta love the man. The next TV contract in 2020 will tell us all we need to know. AAC needs to win the next two NY6 Bowls.

Re: AAC Attempts at Power Status

It goes without saying that we'll need to win to get in if there's more movement. Plus it won't be enough to just win but we'll have to win consistently against quality opposition. We'll need to win some NY6 Bowls too. Then throw in those other things to edge out others.

Re: David Pierce

Everyone on this site should know about the issue with the big classes eating up money . I posted several times over the years that we had got in a rut of having to sign big classes every 4 years b/c those classes didn't have enough good players in them to move on after 3years. However that wasn't ...

Re: Set Your DVR

Doug Mouton is the sports anchor for WWL-TV and he did the interview. It was five minutes long. It started with them talking about it being his 3rd year. he said he now knows the team ,the school, the city and the recruiting area. Mouton brought up about the players at last years preseason media con...

Nice! Thanks for the update, ajc. Maybe TPS has the right tools to get it posted, he sometimes pulls off those miracles. AND/OR winwave will give us a transcript, as I'm sure he DVR'd it!

Re: SBNATION on The Wave

I don't think they'll turn out as good as predicted. I doubt they contend in the ACC with that defense. We'll have to agree to disagree.
