Re: AAC #7

Tulane will never have a 7,500 seat basketball arena, nor should it. Visiting fans for basketball travel in a couple hundred, at most, not thousands. then Tulane will continue to be a member of the AAC.....which is why USF and UTSA are the frontrunners...they are going to do what it takes What is t...

Re: AAC #7

The AAC will eventually bubble back up to the clear G5 leader. The reason is money. So long as the AAC is making considerably more TV money than the others, they will be able to hire better coaches, have higher recruiting budgets and get better TV access. It's the reason we were able to hire Sumrall...

Re: Memphis Game 2 on Super Bowl Sunday

Made Tulane relevant? How? Since Perry Clark, Tulane finished in the bottom half of their conference almost every year. The year prior to Hunter, they won 0 (zero) conference games. Since Hunter, they have been on ESPN and ESPN2 multiple times and won a fair percentage of those games. They are rout...

Re: Memphis Game 2 on Super Bowl Sunday

It's a shame because Hunter gets good players and they play hard for him. He's probably capable, but he's just too stubborn in his philosophy. I wouldn't call him a failed hire because he definitely improved the program and made Tulane relevant. That's something significant given where we were when ...

Tulane has the worst transition game I have ever seen. Even when we have numbers, we are lucky to get the basket.

I still think that ultimately the Universities will demand to know what their return or benefit is to giving a scholarship if they are forced to pay or buy players. Accepting a scholarship will come with a waiver that limits compensation in some way.

Joining the B1G will provide more money but they will never whiff the top 3-4 of the conference. Even though the odds were tough, they stood a much better chance of winning the PAC.

I think it's 100%, mb. But I think we're all better off keeping politics off the board entirely. Nobody is going to change their minds based upon posts on a Tulane Athletics internet bulletin board. Certainly that type of politics has no place on this site and accomplishes nothing but personal insu...

Re: Tulane Beats Temple in OT 92-80

We played to the level of competition. They were almost last in NCAA in shooting, but we let them hang around. Officiating sucked. Inconsistent calls and whistle happy. Killed flow. Forbes has quit. Seems to me. Bad body language last few games. Acting out. Asher gave us the spark. Looked confident...

Re: Tulane Beats Temple in OT 92-80

I dont think Glenn played today which was surprising. Look at how well Daniels did (despite the fouls some of which he actually committed). Hunter just doesn’t want too many players to hit the stat sheet in a game, or so it seems. Cross used to get in foul trouble and always got questionable calls ...

You guys should have been at the women's game last night, Coach Stockton clearly outcoached the Charlotte Coach in the final two minutes drawing up plays like perfection giving the ball to star Whittingt0n who drew the defense to her dishing off for easy baskets by other players twice. The players ...

Re: Michael Pratt NFL evaluation

Pratt if given the chance will excel in the NFL. I’d love to see him end up in Denver. He could have a great chance of being their starter there. Russell Wilson in the Payton doghouse I'd love to see him up here but would also love to see him with the Saints. A couple years behind Carr would really...

Please stop with the Will Wade stuff. He is is a complete scumbag. I am sick of it as well. Those who want Wade have made their thoughts known. Re: Conference Champions 2024 Football Season

The prediction seems to be based on nothing other than Seth Henigan is due. I mean they were a good team last year and are improving steadily. Stable improvement is un-sexy in today's CFB but it's the one thing that always works. They lost by a combined 21 points to Tulane, Missouri, SMU last year ...

I don't have a problem with the defense. The problem is that the opposing team gets too many extra possessions due to uncontested rebounding.

The bench swap was silly. The women didn't change so it's opposite the women's setup. Since the visitors locker rooms are on the McAllister side, the men's teams have to cross each other to get on and off the court. If a player of either team gets hurt or needs to go to the locker room, they can't j...

Re: Thoughts on a day at the Ladies Basketball Game

I will just say that the women's basketball program has needed a change in direction for some time. I would not spend exorbitant resources on it, but it needs revitalization. It is stale and terribly lacking in talent.
