Re: Tanner Lee

http://draftanalyst.com/tuesday-draft-notes-100 Not sure if the credibility of this site, but the writer suggests that TL will declare for the draft after the season is over. With Nebraska failing to get bowl eligible, and Riley about to be replaced by Frost, I'm not surprised if this indeed becomes...

Re: Tanner Lee

I think Tanner will be given an opportunity to at least make a preseason NFL roster and maybe a practice squad. The league is always qb needy, and there are enough people in the media who believe he's got the tools to be given a look. I wouldn't be surprised if one of those teams is New Orleans. Mo...

I look at that TD strike to beat Purdue, and I wonder how different things might have been if he could've made a similar throw against Tulsa in 2014.

Re: Football Recruiting 2018

Speaking of Sherman, I think he would've made a nice conversion to wide receiver. He's got the speed, and his frame lends itself to that position moreso than rb.

Re: Lindsey Scott commits to LSU now transferring to EMCC

Pigrome and the highly touted true freshman Maryland backup qb both tore their ACLs this season. Scott was once offered a scholarship by Maryland. I wouldn't be surprised if he is back on their radar. Who knows when either of those QBs will be recovered sufficiently enough to take over in 2018. What...

Re: Tulane destroys the Hurricane- 62-28

The breakdowns in the secondary are also a source for concern. I liked the fact that Tulane was using the tight end yesterday in the passing game. Jones almost converted a tough fade pass in the corner end zone. Bradwell looks as if he's made a nice transition to rb. I think Tulane is one season awa...

Well, at Tulane, you're either talking about the head football coach leaving, or getting fired. Par for the course.

Re: Tanner Lee

While completion percentage for a qb might be a slightly overrated stat, I don't think you can be a winning qb if you're completing less than 60% of your passes. I'm not sure if it's a function of the coaching staff trying to take advantage of his arm and wanting to throw down field, or Tanner not h...

Re: Tulsa Game Thread

Brad Palazzo was the kicker in my era of college. He was pretty good himself (although struggled his senior year). For the '98 team, he converted 73 of 73 extra point attempts! I don't think Tulane has scored 73 touchdowns in the last two+ seasons. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/brad-p...

Re: Lindsey Scott commits to LSU now transferring to EMCC

Sure would like to see us make a run at him. Not sure if I want him to do too well at EMCC, or he'll get a ton of P5 offers. But can you imagine 3 years of him running our offense, handing off to Corey Dauphine, Bradwell and Huderson next year, along with the new commits Amare Jones and Cameron Car...

His completion percentages have also been bad throughout his career. Someone on Twitter posted that he completed 49% of throws in HS, 53% at Tulane, and now 52% thru 3 games at Nebraska.

Re: Fritz offense

I think if Banks wasn't injured, Tulane would be 2-1 heading into this Saturday, and most of us would be feeling pretty good about the rest of the season. Let's not underestimate the receiver depth. Remember one of the many confounding things about CCJ's tenure was his inability to actually recruit ...

Re: Tanner Lee

Well, my assessment of Lee hasn't changed despite the change in scenery and upgrade in overall offensive help: he throws a pretty ball, but the nuances of quarterbacking is something that he probably will not master. He's similar to JP Losman in that both can spin the ball, but the other intangible...

Tanner struggles against Oregon.

250 yards, 3 TDs and 4 picks, sub-50% completion percentage.

I hope it's rust related.

I don't get it. Why not fix Football, Basketball, and Baseball before adding another sport to suck at. Why sailing and why now? A donor stepped up to fully fund it. It's going to be a club sport until 2018. So I suppose it won't cost the athletic dept anything. Title IX I assume forced it. "Sa...

At this point, you are what your record says you are. Still an outside chance of getting to 30 wins, which would've been hard to imagine after the 3-12 start.
