Re: Line Opens Wake Forest 7.5 pts. > Wave
Just wondering, this is the same OC and Wake Forest team that scored "7" whole points on us just 24 games ago? That's the same one. It's really been comical watching the doomsayers on this site talk about Wake running up the score and having this big shootout. They live for gloom and can ...

Re: Tanner Lee
Jags already soured on Lee, looking for another backup. Tell us more, or give us a link to this story. Contracts in the NFL are not guaranteed. I did a google search during lunch and couldn't find anything remotely supporting that assertion. That being said, you are in Jacksonville, I'm in CT. Plea...

Re: Tanner Lee
Signed a 4 year deal $2.6 million https://overthecap.com/player/tanner-lee/7088/ Wonder if he'll get to play his first game next Thursday against the Saints? Wow. Didn’t think about that. That would be something. A lot of people hate pre-season, and I can definitely agree that the teams hold season...

Re: Line Opens Wake Forest 7.5 pts. > Wave
Sorry but I think most here don't see it that way. It took him some time till he had that break out season there. Then they lost a lot on offense other than the line. As for the QB being tried elsewhere that most likely has to do with the staff realizing if they are going to go Bowling they need to...

Re: Line Opens Wake Forest 7.5 pts. > Wave
I think too much love is being shown Wake Forest. They are a decent team but we should be able to compete well. I think this game will be a shootout but one we can win. I expect that most of our games this year will be shootouts. Other than Ohio State, this might be the best and most prolific offen...

Re: Dannen drop kicks a C-USA hornet's nest
The usm fans are very bitter that we improved our lot and they are stuck in cusa. It is not on field performance that held usm back. They are just broke. And they're located in the middle of nowhere TV-wise. They just bring nothing to the table for moving to a better conference. Some of the people ...

Re: Lines Opens Wake Forest 7.5 pts. > Wave
I'm not saying we should go 80% run or even 70% run. But to run the ball effectively keeps their best weapon, their offense, on the sidelines, while our worst unit, or at least most suspect coming into the season, on the sides and well rested. I'm not and nor have I ever espoused going back to the r...

Re: Dannen drop kicks a C-USA hornet's nest
As we all know, the AAC is much stronger and tougher than C-USA. And it's practically in a different division from the Sunbelt. Now for this to mean anything, Tulane needs to start winning in the AAC, and winning games against these lesser G5 conference schools. UAB is a big game, and one we need to...

Re: Lines Opens Wake Forest 7.5 pts. > Wave
They're going to move the ball on us, no doubt. This is a team that has a whole lot more proven offense than we do. I'm not saying we have to run the ball 75% of the time, but we need to control the ball and limit their opportunities. That's basic football 101. It's what Parcells did to beat opponen...

Re: Dannen drop kicks a C-USA hornet's nest
The comments on that board is that Tulane was a drag on C=USA. I can understand that. but also have to point out how Tulane won the first ever CUSA football game, and in 1998 were the highest ranked team any CUSA team ever achieved. I'm so glad we're out of that league, which has become a cesspool.

Re: Fall Camp 2018
I do wish Troy put out a rebuttable press conference, I loved his fear the wave interview but that reaches less then 1% of people in Louisiana. Even reading the comments in the above linked article ( I know I shouldn’t) shows the LSU narrative is the only account of events locals have heard Let's k...

Awesome story. I love the call he has with his dad, it evokes a lot of emotion. Re: New AAC TV deal
Just for fun speculation: What is the minimum yearly revenue per team we would like to see from our next TV deal ? I think the question boils down to what is the next goal ? Separate from rest of G5 further ? Enough revenue to entice BYU/Boise/SDSU to join ? Enough $$ to protect our teams from havi...

Re: New AAC TV deal
I think the AAC would be doing a great disservice to it's constituents if it signed with ESPN without checking the waters of other networks AND less traditional delivery methods. ESPN is not only bleeding customers (though a significant percentage that cut the cable buy the ESPN streaming services) ...

Tulane FB is no better than 4th best program in the state. Sorry but the BS flag is thrown on your post. Fourth best program in the state?? What other programs have beaten us lately? U-La-La didn't beat us last time we played. Their sister University UL-M was also blown away at their stadium last t...
