Re: Jett Duffey denied admission

I think Howard will do fine, especially if Hall returns as OC. This will be his 3rd season in the program.

Re: Who's next if we lose WF and Hall

I am please with the position Tulane is in (minus how they may adversely effect our recruiting class). We are no longer a dumpster fire or graveyard for coaches. If fritz leaves I feel confident in the candidates available and the ad. If he stays (which I believe he will) I feel good about our prog...

This team is better than last year's, but the schedule is significantly more difficult. I'm thinking 6-6 unless they hold serve at home.

Appreciated the fight in this team.

I'm hoping real hard they take care of business during Homecoming. The rest of the schedule looks daunting.

Historic franchise and awesome city! I also recall reading on one of these sites a Tulane alum connection in the front office. Maybe I am mistaken. Thanks for the memories. National buzz, high stakes, national rankings... basically does this game really matter to the casual Tulane fan? If Tulane plays in this type of a game in Yulman, the people will come watch. It would be great if Tulane could reward the fans by actually winning that game when presented that opportun...

Re: Mike Dunleavy is now worst of the worst

I had some hope for this hire, but neither on court performance nor recruiting has experienced a significant uptick. Conroy got in more talented players (who either underperformed and/or transferred). The one thing that I can say is that individually players do seem to progress in their overall skil...

Re: Dunleavy Dumpster fire continues Wave falls to win less Alabama A&M 67-59

The Furman coach was born in New Orleans, according to his wikipedia page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Richey I still think this guy would be the best hire, if he would come here. Yes, above the LSUA coach who's never coached above the NAIA level. I don't think that coach is a bad coach, just...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Guys this recruiting class will take time to develop, Dunleavy took players from Memphis and UCLA, so you have no knowledge if you criticize his recruiting class. Just like you did Fritz you expect instant development when steps are in place for long term success. You have coaches that have proven ...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Tulane has tried it from all angles from a coaching standpoint: 3 straight high major assistants (Clark, Finney, Dickerson), a sitting head coach from a low major (Conroy), and a coach with pro experience (Dunleavy). I don't know if there is one particular profile that would predict more success at ...

Well, if he goes, he goes. That is life. At the very least he didn't have a hand in any recruitment of anyone Tulane signed yesterday, so no hard feelings there either. If anything, this might make Tulane realize how tough the competition is for good assistants. Maybe they sweeten the offer for the ...

PG help should be coming in the form of Jordan Walker, who is sitting out as a transfer.

I think Daniels will be fine. I don't know if Cornish will be anything different than what he has been thus far, which is highly inconsistent.

The team really missed Ona Embo as the primary ball handler. 15 turnovers between Barrett/Cornish/Daniels. Cornish can't get out of his own way sometimes, doesn't look like he's made any improvements from last season.. The three freshman look very good. They and Daniels will form a very good core. I...

Re: SMU GameDay Thread

Tulane. The brown eye of college football.

A genuine D1 passing quarterback is needed to run a genuine D1 offense. There's talent at receiver and certainly running back.
