Re: NCAA basketball violators:

The NCAA will try to make themselves look good by coming down hard on the violators. Duke being on the list is a big black eye for NCAA Basketball. If true, it could tarnish the reputation of Coach K, whom was probably the most respected name in the sport. Reading through about half a dozen "r...

Re: Tulane and LSU basketball off the hook

LMFAO! When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it should be merged into the basketball scandal thread! WRONG! Glad to see us move down that list. No, I think Quarterman and Martin have some 'splainin' to do. Of all the ignominious things that have happened to Tulane Athletics in its , this w...

Tulane and LSU basketball off the hook

The previous largest comeback was 32 points in 1950, when Duke beat Tulane 74-72 after being down 54-22 in the first half. Kentucky's 31-point comeback against LSU in 1994 was the second largest. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/22549481/drexel-sets-men-division-1-record-comeb...

Re: Wave hangs tough but loses to Wichita State 93-86

Great 2nd half effort by the Wave. If Frazier and Reynolds could've gotten on track in the first half, the game might still be going on. My opinion of the freshmen is different than some others here. I think Ajang will eventually become a real contributor by next season. He's big, long and not a sti...

Re: Melvin Frazier now projected 1st round pick

It's been 20 years since a Tulane basketball player had any sort of draft buzz. Jerald Honeycutt would've been a surefire lottery pick today being a stretch 4 that can shoot 3s. He would've been a 1-and-done player. Frazier should do well in predraft camps and individual workouts. He's a great athle...

Re: Tanner Lee

Can anyone show me a recent example of another college qb who 1) had an awful won-loss record (9-22 as a starter), 2) a mediocre TD-interception ratio (1.2 : 1), and 3) wasn't accurate (career 55% completion) that went on to have any kind of a meaningful NFL career?

Interesting observation of Tanner's rep at the Senior Bowl practices, at least with Jerry Jones.

Re: Best passer on TU's Campus ?

Of course they can. The point is though that he's not a solution if Banks gets hurt. He can't throw the ball effectively. We'd be one dimensional again. Everybody else that recruited him did so as a RB. There was a reason for that. The staff needs to go get some help at the position in the time the...

Why can't Tulane ask Bradwell to move back to quarterback? At the least he can be 3rd string and still be a running back.

Re: Tulsa Game Thread- TD gets game moved to 1:00

This was the first game I've attended at Fogelman since 2001. A couple of things: I'm really impressed with the overall renovations. I want the aluminum bench seats back in the student sections. There's really not a bad seat in the house. Frazier was in bad body language mode today. Cornish isn't as...

Re: Attention Dannen Debunkers

The one thing I could point to last year was the individual improvement in players. Seems like that has continued this season, especially with Frazier.

Next big step is to follow that up with a win at home.

Re: Nicholls St. Game Thread

Cornish really stepped up in the second half. He was responsible for some real sloppy turnovers, but was the difference offensively. If he, Reynolds and Frazier can be consistent, the Wave will be a tough out in most of the conference games. Puffy, sorry, but the term "a tough out" refers...

Here ya go. Don't know how much truth there is to it. http://footballscoop.com/the-scoop/ I guess Tulane pay is near the bottom. With WF making $1.2 million. http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/ Looks like Tulane is slightly ahead of ECU, USF and UConn in salary. Temple doesn't report on this ...

I hope that Tulane won't be as wide eyed when they play at Wichita State. Maybe this game will serve as some sort of a wake-up call for the Wave to play with focus and intensity from start till finish. That having been said, just about everyone thought this was an L on the schedule. There's still a ...

Ed Oliver of UH is the exception to the 5*-G5 rule. He was a consensus 5* recruit in 2016.

Monroe had a composite 247 score of 3*, although his numeral score was on the higher end of the 3* range.
