Re: CFP Goes for 5+7 System
What still blows my mind is why ANY G5 conference rep would vote in favor of the 5+7, knowing it reduces the chances for their own schools? You know their goal is to eventually eliminate all G5s from the playoff. So why keep giving in so easily? STAND YOUR GROUND.

Higher font is when I have to yell over people spreading misinformation or if a message has to be repeated because they keep bringing something up that has been proven false. They don't understand all that goes into scheduling start times for games, and of course any university would want start tim...

Re: Tulane Wins the Northwestern Series
Real test comes this week. Important to beat Nicholls on Tuesday, and if we can win the series this weekend that would be something. UC-Irvine started the season ranked #25, and swept North Dakota State this weekend so they'll move up. They play San Diego on Tuesday before coming here.

Kai was a mid level 3 star recruited by G5 schools.
Ty was the highest rated QB recruit EVER at one of the top Power 5 programs in the country.
Massive difference.

Re: Up next Athletes paid Employees potential Unionization
I still think that ultimately the Universities will demand to know what their return or benefit is to giving a scholarship if they are forced to pay or buy players. Accepting a scholarship will come with a waiver that limits compensation in some way. Agreed. Because there is some value to the educa...

"anyone who performs services for you is your employee if you can control what will be done and how it will be done.” Its an EXTRACURRICULAR activity. ALL students are eligible to participate in them. Does this mean students that choose to participate in a club that competes against other schoo...

Regardless of whom anyone wants to say is responsible for the IPF, the fact remains: We've gotten more transparency and specifics from David Harris in ONE MONTH than we EVER got from our previous two ADs.

Re: February NSD Class of 2024
I referred to Rivals. Try reading what you are responding to. As to 247 it gives out stars like candy. To be fair though, its still consistent, so a 4 star at 247 is better than a 3 star at 247. In fact, one could say 247 is more accurate. Its a lot easier to distinguish between two players. Both c...

Re: February NSD Class of 2024
With the signings today of Zycarl Lewis and Reese Baker we're now at #67 Overall #65 Composite #59 Transfer And our average recruit ranking is 84.99, by far the best we've ever had. And other than the three JUCO guys who are at the bottom of the rankings, every other player is AT LEAST an 85, up to ...

Re: Michael Pratt NFL evaluation
To be fair, Michael only ran about 10 plays. Sam Hartman, on the other hand, had almost three quarters. The QB distribution had Pratt playing on a team with 3 other QB's, 4 total. The other team had 3 QB's but Penix didn't play (not sure if he opted out at the end of the week of practice or if he g...

Re: February NSD Class of 2024
I will say this, I just went and looked at 247s composite recruit rankings for Tulane the last few years. In Willie's last two seasons, we had an average of 84.21 and 84.20. Those were the best we had ever been. As of right now, Coach Sumrall's initial class has an average rating of 84.81. Note: the...

I still remember how GB Biden hated the Sumrall hire. I hated him losing his cool going after the referee and he will be the lst one to say it was wrong and a poor example to the team!!! I take it "many going into six figures and beyond" is more than the "only a handful" that winwave keeps trying to tell us? Granted, we don't know if this is per year, or the full value of the deal, but why would any collective provide more than a one year deal when the kid may ju...

They were pretty good, but against middling opposition. 8-1, averaged close to 40 pts a game. Erik played in 5 of the 9 games, 9 catches for 130 yards and a TD. Definitely a development project.

Yes, it is. He visited during the UTSA game. It said in a previous tweet that it was a PWO offer.
Guess since his parents are paying $73K a year for HS, they can easily afford to be out of pocket for tuition at Tulane.

Co-ed boarding school. 669 students, 95 teachers, or a 7:1 teacher student ratio. Tuition $73K a year. Maybe his family will become NIL donors.
