Re: Starting QB
I just posted a new thread on this, but Montana is not a better QB than Lee and it is nonsensical to go with a senior over a freshman who clearly has a high ceiling. The difference between Tanner and Montana last year is what the coaches are asking each of them to do. Last year, the coaches knew th...

Re: 1 - 11
Lee's mobility is a non-issue. Each game he has tucked the ball and ran for at least one first down. The problem he has is that he tends to hold on the ball sometimes too long. He has to adjust to the college game. He has only 1 1/2 years of HS experience starting at QB. He needs more time in the fi...

Re: parking elephant in the room
The city is just so lazy and prefers to try to make an easy $ rather than sustainable income. As for TU, parking has been a breeze but when people were concerned about parking, they assumed that the stadium would hold about 5k more than it actually does. Even then, I am sure it would have been fine...

Re: Starting QB
Cuilette isn't ready. I want us to stick with Lee but I wouldn't mind seeing someone else rotate in for a couple of series. We just cant give up easy pick 6s and INTs deep in opponents territory. +1 Cuilette is not the answer at this point. He needs to learn the playbook etc... Tanner is only a fre...

Re: Tanner Lee
Watching the film from the coaches show last night it's obvious teams know what plays we are going to run on certain situations. Tanners first INT was on a 4th and 8. CJ said he didn't want to try a FG because of our snapping issues. The score was 16-7 so if we had Cairo we kick that to make in 16-1...

Re: parking elephant in the room
Saints fans got slammed with parking tickets at today's first home game. Meter Maids waited until the game started and came out and gave 100's of tickets working OT on a Sunday. One of the lead stories on Fox 8 tonight. Really a shame Mitch allows this BS to happen. I mean parking under an interstat...

Re: Rummel Raiders
Tulane should be recruiting this team hard. The talent on this local team is unbelievable. Unfortunately, not getting any of them to even look at Tulane Its a shame. Back when I was in school, a lot of Rummel guys ended up at Tulane. Mostly baseball, but some football as well. The team is really st...

Re: Duke 47 - Tulane 13
Massey has GA Tech at 27, Duke at 35. These are good teams. We were within two scores in the 3rd quarter of both games. TU is real young. Freshmen at skill positions on offense and half the faces on defense are new starters. I think this team is better than last year's team. All we can ask of CJ is...

Our offense is much improved despite the ugly interceptions and penalties.
And with any coaching those two "uglies" should improve.

Re: Tanner Lee
Tanner Lee will be OK as will the rest of the team. Lee has the tools and will learn how to play college ball as he plays college ball. He is not Tom Brady (at this point) but he has the tools to be a very good QB for Tulane. He has played 4 college games, two of them against teams (GT and Duke) th...

Re: Tanner Lee
...What are your thoughts on using a 2 or 3 QB system for the rest of 2014? It would take some of the pressure off Lee, give Powell some valuable playing time and if Montana was inserted for some plays, opposing DC's would have a much harder time preparing for TU. The opposing DC's , from here on o...

Re: Duke 47 - Tulane 13
Duke and Ga Tech are 8-0. Your thesis makes no sense. TU and its mostly teenage players would need a complete turnaround and then have to play 100% "more perfect" than either of those schools to compete with them. Football is about controlling the game. What part of the game can we contro...

Re: Just Not Ready
We have several MAJOR flaws- Number one is Tanner Lee's lack of vision when there is a defender lurking. I' m confident that he'll make a good throw when the lbs are not dropping into coverage. But when they are back there, it's like he has blinders on. Number two is Tanner Lee's inability the go t...
